The first downfall was only one waitress for 30 people on a busy Saturday evening. It took 30-45 minutes just to get drinks.
When some of the food finally started coming out( hours later) it was either cold, undercooked, overcooked, burnt or came differently than stated on the menu. After 3 hours of waiting some of our party ended up walking out to get food elsewhere. The waitress did her best and did give some discounts off our bills, but overall it was a very disappointing experience 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

No offer to expedite food or bring an appetizer while we continued to wait. Waters were never refilled. No discount on the bill. Not sure we will return.

Let's start with a bartending. Unfortunately, when pouring a beer from tap, the glass should never touch the tap for sanitary reasons. When ordering the food that are special of the night happen to be steak sandwiches. The bartender/ waiter did not comprehend. What a rare steak was barely was able to ask. How would I like it cooked because he had no concept of what was being ordered. The steak sandwich was ordered as rare, not blue, rare but rare, waiter/bartender did not comprehend. A blue rare steak is usually cooked to an internal temperature of 110°, whereas a rare steak would be internal temperature of 120° f. First state came out cold to the touch and blue rare. The second the plate was extremely hot when received but the steak was still blue rare meaning the kitchen staff does not know how to cook a proper steak. I would like to say I was the only one that had this issue but a couple behind ordered the steak sandwiches Right after myself theirs was served first and was cold. Mine was second and cold. I understand this could be an isolated incident, however training is definitely required in both the kitchen staff and the serving staff.

Had a wonderful dining experience tonight at Brixx Nelson. We tried the burger for burger month and had a couple brews. Absolutely delicious, plus the service was spectacular. Highly recommend.

Gotta be honest: not that great. Overall ok atmos, an uninspired sports pub with great views. But the food was a let down. $24 for pretty bad nachos - a haphazard jumble of mostly chips, cheese mostly glued to the paper beneath, with anemic toppings and even the salsa on the side was watery and flavourless. Cmon guys, kinda pathetic tbh.

We had a very, very nice experience, gazing across the lake at the bobbing sailboats as the evening darkened. And it was so deliciously quiet. The burgers were excellent and our server, Raj, was outstanding in his efficiency, courtesy, friendliness and professionalism. He didn’t hover but was present when we needed something, which was seldom because he anticipated our needs. Escape the hubbub of Baker with its traffic and crowds. Lakeside Prestige is a gem!

Got first drink and dinner order and ignored for over 50 minutes with an empty glass. Food took about an hour but knew it was busy. Had to go to bar to request 2nd drink after close to an hour

I read all the reviews before going and honestly majority of the reviews are bs. I had a burger and a beer. The burger was juicy fries were Crunchy and the beer was beer. Our server puneet was polite and well trained. Give it a visit, the view is worth it

Took about 20 min to get service service then another 20 min to get them back to take an order. Then another 30 min to get a beer. Food was something else. Besides having empty glasses and taking our orders and waiting another hr for food. I ate alone as my order was 30 min after everyone else had there meals. My steak sandwich was very under rated. Could hardly get threw my first few bites. My friend had to return there Baked pretzel as it was more like crutons with warmed cheese wiz. Not cool.

Not sure if there's been a change during the last year in ownership or management but this used to be a place we'd take guests and visitors in town. The waterfront patio and view is always a treat. The food and service used to be on par, however I don't think I can recommend this spot anymore.
Recently the service has been terrible; waiting ages for someone to come to the table, having apathetic attention, waiting 20 minutes for a drink order, and not seeming to care or see an issue. We ordered the pretzel with cheese dip and the pretzel was incredibly dry and the sauce was poor. We sent it back barely eaten yet were still charged for it and paid before we realized. The bahn mi chicken sandwich used to be my favourite but was nothing close to what it used to be. Unfortunately, I could add several other things that about our last visit that our group was disappointed with. Wish I could say it was a one off but there have been a few times with similar situations.
Both front and back of house needs to up their game to what this place used to be. Will be a while before we bother coming back. Hope it turns around.

Just sat at a table for 25 minutes and NOBODY stopped to ask if I wanted a drink or a water or hey maybe a menu. I’ve stayed at the hotel attached here 5 different weeks this year. Service was never this poor. Service was actually above average the other times I’ve attended this hotel. I’d recommend people head out of hotel as Nelson has a lot of good food options.
