I absolutely adore Finnleys. I found this gem on my first trip through Nelson and it’s so great I’ve made a point to come to Canada just for this restaurant and the atmosphere. Karaoke is the best thing to watch and Nelson has the kindest and best singers. There is one bartender there who is the kindest man and remembers my sister and I every time we come back. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent, delicious burgers and poutine, and a beautiful pulled pork sandwich generously filled with meat. Perfect fries, fresh side salads, and the confit duck atop poutine was delectable. Our food arrived precisely how ordered, and in very good time for how many other tables were full. Lots of drink options including one of my favourite Caesars in town (nothing fancy-pants, just made well and very tasty). We come to Finley's every now and again for consistently good meals, but our most recent visit was just extra satisfying. Everything on everyone's plate was 10/10. Really friendly staff who was on top of it all even during a very busy evening. The back patio overlooking the mountains and sunset is quintessential Nelson dining.

Such a great experience here last night. Ordered wings, lettuce wraps, and poutine and all three were super good. Server was awesome and attentive, especially given he was going up and down a flight of stairs over and over.

We ate here the other day and used to come here more often. The portions were smaller, more expensive and not very good. People were smoking on the deck, this was not addressed until we asked. To top it off, Findlays used to have nice hanging baskets, they are all dead. What’s up? We won’t be going back.
