Staff wasn't helpful and rude had a table booked for 3 half the tables were empty but we were told we couldn't sit down 19 minutes early so we had to go sit in the basement for 10 minutes. The person working that day didn't care to try and accommodate us as it seemed like we were inconveniencing him. Hopefully this year is a wake up call you guys need to get a better system in place or you will continue to loose money. And also if you're going to order the food from McCain can we get curly fries ??
Best ski hill food ! Reservation system works great for social distancing. We booked for 2:00 pm. Hardly anyone in the cafe at that time. We enjoyed the WH2O burger, the Glory Bowl, Glory Wrap, BLT Wrap and veggie burger.
Delicious lattes, deserts, and French fries! Would definitely return for these items. 3 burgers including Wh2o burger and kids burgers were burnt and almost inedible. Ymir bowl had great flavour but was very mushy. Ordered and paid for poutine and received fries instead. Line was too long to return to get poutine or show burnt burgers. Food items weren't the usual quality unfortunately.
Spent $130 on food for my family for lunch and was completely unimpressed. Food was cold, fries were hard, bread on sandwiches were stale. We've been regular seasons pass holders for years and have always enjoyed the food up at whitewater. If this is the quality going out to customers, I suggest you lower the prices to meet the quality of food.
Always great. I hope this system continues in the future. I like no bags around my feet, knowing I'll get a table, not tripping over people, and waiting at my table for food. I'm finding myself wanting to eat there than in previous years
Despite the difficult circumstances the staff are positive and very helpfull. The food at Fresh Tracks is quite satisfying and it is such a pleasure to take a break from skiing and have this available!
Hello, I could not review this because I didn't know I was booking a seat at a restaurant when I booked the time, so we brought our own food! Our host Caitlin was very gracious is letting us stay and eat even though we had made the mistake. Now that I went back to the Whitewater webiste and read through the CoVid guidelines (about halfway down), I saw that the Fresh Tracks cafe is reserved for people purchasing food only, and can be used by people bringing their own food outside of peak lunch hours. This makes total business sense and I completely understand. However, I thought I was booking a table in the downstairs space of the lodge just to eat. Perhaps there can be an extra pop-up when you reserve your table that says "Are you sure you are planning to purchase food from the cafe with your reservation?" or something like that. It could help avoid confusion. I'm a local but this was my first time at the hill this year. Thank you,
Would love to come up and actually enjoy a great breakfast at the ski hill before a powder day, but the cafe isn't open early enough, and the 1030 time limit isn't good for a late breakfast!
Great to know we would have a safe spot to eat. They need a better way for folk to get water. Skiers are thirsty and the glasses are tiny. I ended up getting a pitcher of water from the bar and cups from the coffee bar for my thirsty family. Tricky not to have anywhere to hang gear as well.
I was so excited to eat at the Fresh tracks cafe; I have heard such good things. But, I must say I was pretty disappointed. My kids all had poutine, pretty disappointing compared to the poutine in Quebec. For 10 dollars I would expect more cheese curds. I had the Ymir bowl, it was tasty but wasn't heated very well. I was having cold bites throughout. And my husband had the chili with very dry cornbread. A very expensive, mediocre lunch. I understand that you want to serve a quality product but a lot more affordable if you just go with your standard ski hill food. Thanks
