I was a bit hesitant to order from KC’s because I have found good Chinese food to be REALLY hard to come by in the recent years, even on the coast where we moved from. We also had a not so great experience at the other Chinese restaurant in Nelson, and it always feels like an expensive mistake to order bad Chinese food…but I was pleasantly surprised by KC’s, it was comforting and just what we were hoping for. We ordered: - Egg roll - Yang chow fried rice - Deep fried wontons - Ginger chicken - Plain chow mein (comes with thicker noodles, something to keep in mind if you prefer a chow mein with thinner noodles like I do)
It’s not overly flavourful but I found that to be kinda nice because you can flavour with soya sauce to your liking, because everyone likes saltiness at different levels. Our fav items were the fried rice and deep fried wontons! We will definitely be ordering again.

My wife and I just had our second visit there ever as we're from out of town. This second time around we felt a difference. New menu, restaurant had been refreshingly renovated and the service was great. What was even more surprising was the food!!! Guys, if you're around Nelson and want healthy and tasty Chinese food but also would do Japanese food, this is a must!!! Family owned, 2 daughters are running it and the whole experience was awesome. Highly recommend!

Truly lovely service, and food was great! We ordered takeaway dinner - Emerald was helpful, friendly and made great suggestions. I called back 10 minutes later and wanted to add one more dish to our order and she was happy to accommodate. Food came well within the timeline she had given, delivery person was so kind and professional. Highly recommend the Ho Fan, and the Hong Kong Mushrooms are a personal fave. Thank you, Mah family! So glad to have you back and doing what you do amazingly! :)

Over an hour wait and then cold food. Had not been here for awhile due to a previous bad experience but decided to give you another try. The food took 1:15 to arrive, they said 40-45, and when it came it was cold and soggy. If you have delivery issues fine. I understand. But remake the food, don’t let it sit for 30 min and then deliver it
