I was a bit hesitant to order from KC’s because I have found good Chinese food to be REALLY hard to come by in the recent years, even on the coast where we moved from. We also had a not so great experience at the other Chinese restaurant in Nelson, and it always feels like an expensive mistake to order bad Chinese food…but I was pleasantly surprised by KC’s, it was comforting and just what we were hoping for. We ordered:

My wife and I just had our second visit there ever as we're from out of town. This second time around we felt a difference. New menu, restaurant had been refreshingly renovated and the service was great. What was even more surprising was the food!!! Guys, if you're around Nelson and want healthy and tasty Chinese food but also would do Japanese food, this is a must!!! Family owned, 2 daughters are running it and the whole experience was awesome. Highly recommend!

Truly lovely service, and food was great! We ordered takeaway dinner - Emerald was helpful, friendly and made great suggestions. I called back 10 minutes later and wanted to add one more dish to our order and she was happy to accommodate. Food came well within the timeline she had given, delivery person was so kind and professional. Highly recommend the Ho Fan, and the Hong Kong Mushrooms are a personal fave. Thank you, Mah family!
