One of my fav nelson spots to dine for lunch or dinner. Quick and easy, always delicious and staff are lovely. Highly recommend the pork/miso Ramen & Chicken donburi!

I love this restaurant! It’s the best place to get sushi in Nelson. The staff are very nice and the food comes quite fast most of the time. Seating is a little limited but there are usually empty tables to find a seat at. They always have ice cold water that is self-serve, and their food is amazing. I’ve also tried many seaweed salads before and they tasted really fishy and were just bad, but their seaweed salad is amazing. Fish is also always very soft and melts in your mouth. Amazing quality, service and food, 10/10 recommend.

We are vegan and they have a great selection of vegan items. Taka, his family and staff are really friendly. This place is a real gem in Nelson and so grateful to has this place.

Coming from Japan, and visiting with Japanese, the sushi here is far superior to anyplace else in town and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. A casual atmosphere with owners who know how to buy and prepare fresh seafood. A gem in Nelson and recommended for people who appreciate good sushi and sashimi.

The sushi is very nice. Only a few tables, so get take out if possible. A bit pricey, two inari pieces and a miso soup was around $12. The salmon in my rolls on another visit was very fresh and lovely. I'll definitely be back!

I don't oft go out to sushi restaurants these days, low carb diet and all, but I went here to try their burger month burger and it was REALLY good. The bun was made of brown rice, chicken burger, teriyaki sauce, Asian slaw. Super good. Good service, food came fast and hot!

Absolutely love this spot! Hands down best sushi in Nelson by a long shot. Also such a cute atmosphere and sweet staff.

Hands down the best sushi you’ll find in the Kootenays. I love that everything is so fresh and the sushi isn’t deep friend and covered in a bunch of sauces like at other sushi places. All other sushi is inferior to Kurama’s sushi!!

I recently visited Kurama Sushi and from the moment I walked in, I felt completely welcomed. The atmosphere was chill and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some great food. Speaking of food, it was absolutely amazing—each bite was packed with flavor and truly hit the spot.

I took in the entire experience, from the friendly service to the fantastic eats, and it all came together perfectly. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and even better food, I highly recommend Kurama Sushi!
