Hands down the best sushi you’ll find in the Kootenays. I love that everything is so fresh and the sushi isn’t deep friend and covered in a bunch of sauces like at other sushi places. All other sushi is inferior to Kurama’s sushi!!
I recently visited Kurama Sushi and from the moment I walked in, I felt completely welcomed. The atmosphere was chill and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some great food. Speaking of food, it was absolutely amazing—each bite was packed with flavor and truly hit the spot.

The sushi wasn't amazing, but the hiyashi udon (udon salad) was great after a sweaty climb from the lakeside on a hot day. The noodles were chewy. However, the inside of the store is rather small, so the line to buy take-out lunch boxes and the line to pre-order/pay for eat-in form a line at the same time, often interfering with the eat-in seats, so the inside of the store is not calm. Not suitable for well-behaved customers who want to eat slowly. unfortunately.
