The atmosphere of this place is impressive, old style and characteristic place. Well made and well maintained. We just had cocktails and they were well made with great flavours and balance. An interesting place to visit, I believe also to eat something.

What a wonderful place to sit and relax to eat. There is great food and affordable prices. I went here with my Daughter and we just loved it! I highly recommend this lounge!

We were staying at the Hume so we came here for lunch and dinner and it was great both times! Also, definitely was the winner for the poutine weekend contest!

The Library Lounge offers one of Nelson's best atmospheres, a varied menu, great presentation, and solid service. I've eaten at The Lounge three times. The primary draw is the excellently curated interior and frequent live music (typically soft instrumental jazz). The room offers a feeling of 19th or early 20th century class, replete with beautiful woodwork, moldings, and appropriate upholstery. The staff has generally provided me with good service, save for one or two small errors. These were nothing so serious that I can recall them. The food and drink on offer are various and well conceived. The two different meals I enjoyed there both excellent, being the Cauliflower Steak and Steak Roulades. I enjoyed the Cauliflower so much that I've now eaten it twice. It's clear that most, if not all of the sauces on offer are made in-house, to my great pleasure. In part as a result of those wonderful sauces, the chef's dishes successfully bring together heartiness and freshness. The presentation of all of my orders has also been pleasing, surpassing most Nelson establishments.

Our favorite place in Nelson , food was wonderful as always and atmosphere with the duo on Tues night lovely
Unfortunately our server had a very condescending attitude , quite uncomfortable , perhaps she was having a bad day . Never have had this happen here before so one bad experience certainly won’t put us off .

A fantastic lunch spot. Very interesting decor. Great food.

Had the ‘Forest Floor’ pizza. It consisted mainly of a thick crust and thick layer of cheese, completely covering the whole pizza. With luck, you could taste something like pesto and mushroom in-between.
Maybe if you’ve never had authentic Italian food, you could accept this Panago-style excuse for a pizza. But not for $30. Very disappointing. Everything else I’ve had from the menu in the past was great. Maybe leave the pizza off the menu.

Awesome food, service, and atmosphere. Can't believe how affordable it is as well. I'd for sure go again!

I've only been coming here for 22 years, but so far every bite has been delicious!

What a find! The Library has one of the most captivating rooms I've ever eaten in and kept us captivated throughout. The menu was extensive and we both loved our meals. N had a seafood linguine and I loved the halibut. The creme brulee and Guiness chocolate cake were decadent and divine. Our table attendees were friendly and lovely. We wish we were staying in Nelson longer as we would be back.

The Library Lounge is great. Lovely atmosphere! Quiet - nice for dinner with a friend! Some nights jazz. Menu could use some attention. Food is good, but maybe some creativity?

Dinner on Saturday night was fantastic. Husband had the prime rib dinner which was top notch, the special was salmon and I could literally drink the lemon dill sauce that accompanied it!! Cocktails were good and expertly crafted. The only down side was that it was a million degrees inside.
