Delicious, overall. Crab cake appie surprisingly spicy & wee, but great presentation. Had the fish and chips, generous portion, crispy golden & yummy. Outstanding service, super pleasant attentive server.

Delicious steak...veggies cooked to perfection. Loved being able to get a 5oz. tenderloin. Awesome deal on wine on Wed. Staff were very friendly. Service top notch. Basically stumbled upon the place. Definitely will go back. Thanks for such a great experience.

Beautiful restaurant,quiet, excellent service, by far the best steak I have had in a long time. Great selection of wines at reasonable prices. Nelson is blessed to have a restaurant this wonderful. Would return in a heartbeat!

I had a half order of the back ribs, They were good but a little over done. However, my expectation for a half rack was 6 ribs as pigs have 12 ribs, I only received 3 ribs. Crab cake as a starter was great. My wife enjoyed the ahi tuna salad .

Appetizers - good choices available. Oysters and Crab Cake were exceptional. Entrees - had not only steaks, but fish, chicken, ribs and pasta choices. Two of us had Filet Oscar which was outstanding, done just as we liked. Another had the Ribeye Steak and that was enjoyed as well. One of us upgraded to the mushroom truffle risotto, which was fabulous. Cheesecake to wind up, and shared, was so delicious! In my opinion, the best meal I have eaten in a very, very long time!!

Food was very tasty, cooked the way we all preferred. Wine was delicious! A pricer Resturant with a smaller menu but its appreciated for the feel of the place. Great place for date night. No kids.

Visiting from Edmonton, I've been to Louie's before. This time a bit disappointing. My steak was awesome but the green beans & carrots were very tough & inedible. The mashed potatoes that accompanied my dinner covered almost 3/4 of the plate. Not sure why Chef thought anyone would need that many potatoes. While my Sis & I were dining, we were treated to the Manager's? Owner's? play by play on the restaurants strategy. Not sure we needed to hear that through our evening out. Meetings should be held away from customers, not inside the restaurant. Might try again next time I breeze through town.
The food was gross! We ordered prime rib and received deli roast beef, yuck! I seriously was disgusted, and on top of that the ribs were a pre made sauce smother and the honey mustard was also something from a burger joint....I don't expect to pay 3+ times what I get ( which is better) from a burger shack....check your menu, and what you offer because it sucks! And is disgusting anyway, all the luck ?I'm pretty sure prime rib is on your menu, give it a read ...like I said, you don't even know what your serving! It's my opinion of your food and you don't get to say it's fake, I assure you.Also @Rob, if you don't serve prime Rib, than why do you offer "Prime shires" or prime rib filled Yorkshire pudding?

The food and drinks were wonderful and the space was quiet and comfortable. We came here for our anniversary. Only knocking off a star because it seemed like they wanted us to leave since we were the only ones there. We ended up getting dessert to go.

Amazing ambience & service! My man got the filet mignon burger and he loved it said it could use some more sauce. We got crab cake for an appy & it was delicious. I got the lobster dinner, lobster was amazing but my mashed potatoes tasted like they might’ve been burned at some point and they were cold. Got a free surprise dessert for my fiancés birthday and it was effing delicious - white chocolate cheesecake, all nice & fresh & it was all a surprise for him that he really enjoyed. Thank you Louie’s I don’t think I would’ve got such an experience anywhere else in Nelson.
