The food is what you would expect at a franchise restaurant bland and bleak not much thought went into it. The waitress was extremely In competent and didn't know anything about the menu.

The service was good, and the food was fresh and nicely presented. The cocktails were tasty and creative. The ambiance is a modern, rustic vibe.

Excellent meal. Steak was cooked to perfection and service was nop notch . Love this place .

Loved the food and the service. Although not busy, the two top table we sat with felt a bit overly exposed to floor traffic. Not a killer but if crowded might have been. Thanks for the nice meal.

The vibe was immaculate! Our server, Amelia, was very kind and was very helpful with my many many food allergies. 10/10! We will be back in the winter!

Had Brunch today. I tried the eggs Benny and my husband had the breakfast poutine. Today was the first time I have ever tried egg Benny and it was fantastic. I'm super picky about eggs and they were cooked perfectly. Thanks for a delicious meal. My husband also enjoyed his meal.

Lovely outdoor dining experience. The weather was excellent and so was the meal. The waitress was attentive and helpful. Absolutely no complaints.

We were looking forward to enjoying a great meal to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We both ordered Steak Frite, meat to be cooked medium. What we got was 2 steaks rare almost raw and slathered with sauce. The steaks were returned to the kitchen supposedly to be cooked to order, and when returned, they were exactly the same!
It was very disappointing.
Further to that, when we asked for the bill we were charged full price. My husband had to speak the staff, and they did reduce the bill, but, truthfully, it was in my opinion a very inadequate response and I would not choose to dine here again.

We decided to get the brunch menu on a Saturday morning.

I would suggest looking at the menu before coming here as I find they are expensive.
We got two eggs Benny.
One was a mushroom Benny for 28$ with a side of crispy potatoes and the other was a special that was bison on a Benny for 30$ with a side of potatoes aswell.
The mushroom Benny was OK but for the price I don't think it lives up to the standards.
Be aware also if you want ketchup it costs extra

Our latte we received was burnt and server was never to be found even though there was only two tables in the restaurant occupied.

Indifferent service. Ok food - but not great. Mussels were gritty, steak drowned in demi glaze, and so so fries. One dish was forgotten and served near end of meal.

The restaurant offers a quaint and unique experience which is exactly what we were looking for during our visit to Nelson. The menu was interesting, the food fresh and well prepared. My dining partner felt some dishes had too many flavours detracting from the main ingredient - in one case this was the trout. I agree the dishes were overly complex but I appreciated what the chef was trying to do and enjoyed them. They could be simpler and still amazing. We sat on the patio which was a nice experience. It is quiet and comfortable. The prices were on the higher end. Overall I gave four stars and as there are some areas for improvement to get the last star which would justify the price. I wouldn't let any of this detract you from trying this restaurant.

Good environment and staff. But the food was disappointing: tasteless and missing some components. Not worth the price.

Excellent food, beautifully prepared. Live music setting the atmosphere. Alas, somewhat inattentive and slow service.

Trout was the special tonight and both our plates were served rare. Sent them back and one came out worse and the other dish was OK. Fishy taste and was surprised they did not comp meal. Pretty bad experience. Tuesday night the special was Halibut. Excellent meal. Not sure what to say. I guess if you go the odds are 50% it's good.

Update.... Owner offered a gift card. When my wife and I dine out, we expect a good experience especially on vacation. Someone needed to take charge during our meal and make it right. After the fact doesn't work. The trout dish was sent back and returned to my wife less cooked than the first time. How can that happen? The chef received specific instructions to cook it well done. Our dining experience was ruined and we still paid $70.00. Again..... the first time we ate there was very good and we came back.
