My friend and I went for dinner while we were visiting Nelson. The service was great and we loved the ambiance. The food was amazing! I had the chicken supreme and it was one of the best meal I've ever had in a restaurant. It was cozy, comforting and simply delicious!

Just wow. This was one of the most amazing fine dining experiences we've ever had - worth every penny! We had a number of fish/seafood dishes (calamari, mussels, steelhead and sablefish) and they were all cooked to absolute perfection and came out so hot and fresh. The service also really went above and beyond, including an excellent wine recommendation. Wholeheartedly recommend.

I will try again cause I've heard really great things. Unfortunately today's experience was not positive. 45 min to get water, 1 hr 10 to get food. 3 tables on patio, all of us several times had wrong food brought out and taken away. My lunch guest was celiac and did get hit with gluten. Chicken sandwiches were cold and not good. Must say the fries were absolutely amazing.

Great vibe! Located at the end of a street on a hill - very quaint! Had live music out on the patio, but it was playing inside the restaurant as well. Found it to be very loud and hard to speak to the person across the table from you. Food was tasty, good bang for your buck ! Service was great

Stopped here for a drink and appetizer while checking Nelson out. Staff was super friendly and the bar was really nice.

Great food and wine menu. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. It was very quiet when we were there but I can imagine it's not always like that - likely due to the long weekend.

Outstanding food and service. Highly recommended with great vegan options as well. Very cool vibe and location.

Opentable Diner

Twas great I am a regular customer Sad the burgers now have mustard in them as I used to be able to have a delicious burger Allergy But staff are happy to check on allergy issues

Wow. What a great spot. Everything we ordered surpassed our expectations. Roast chicken, pork belly, appetizers. We were so impressed.

We really wanted to like Pitchfork. The ambiance was warm, the menu looked promising, and the prices suggested we were in for something special. Unfortunately, the only thing special about our meal was how thoroughly the kitchen managed to ruin a simple piece of chicken.

To call it overcooked would be generous. This was chicken in its post-apocalyptic form—dry, stringy, and tough. At that price, we assumed it might at least be seasoned with the tears of a Michelin-starred chef. Nope. Just regret.

We politely mentioned this to our server, expecting maybe an apology or even a half-hearted “Oh no, I’ll let the kitchen know.” Instead, she nodded, walked away, and never returned—like a ghost in a haunted house, only less helpful.

The one bright spot? We got a good arm workout sawing through our entrées. But for those looking to spend a small fortune on food that fights back, we can’t recommend Pitchfork in good conscience.

Promising dish when reading the description on the menu. Unfortunately nothing is well balanced. We tried 5 different main dishes and we were all disappointed. The ideas behind the dishes are good but they are not well executed, too salty in general, way too smokey for the cauliflower and way too bitter was the Brussels sprouts. I was really looking forward eating in this restaurant, we won't come back because for the price you pay you expect something with a better execution. Service was nice though.

The service was great, but the restaurant and food weren’t very warm. Tasty but too cold.

I've been to PitchFork many times over the years and was rather disappointed in our latest visit. The food was just ok and the service was also just ok. The price point is a bit on the higher side for the food and 3 out of 4 of our main dishes were disappointing. My tofu meal was so smoky that I could barely eat it and the bork belly was so overly salty that our teenagers had to cut the tops off (and they'll eat anything). Maybe they have a new chef or were having an off night, but I expected more from this restaurant and hope our next experience there is more encouraging.

The breakfast poutine was phenomenal and the inside of Pitchfork is so warm and welcoming with a unique woody feel!

Outside is charming and the view from the patio seems amazing!
