Port701 Marinaside Dining | Lounge

Made a new years dinner reservation for 7 pm. Called numerous times throughout the day nobody answered the phone had to call the front desk of the hotel to get them to get the restaurant to call me back. Just trying to confirm my reservation. Show up at 7 and stand at the door til 725 didnt appear to have any servers working just 2 bartenders and it was completely dead in there. Didn't seat us or even acknowledge us so we left. Terrible service for a dead restaurant on new years eve.

Came on a Friday night and it was fairly busy. The fellow serving me was great, super friendly and made sure he got my solo order in before a large table of 6 that was seated before me ordered, which I appreciated.

I had the specialty burger that was available for burger month in Nelson. Food came in about 20 minutes which I felt was pretty standard. Best burger I've had in recent memory, really enjoyed it.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about, maybe they've worked out some kinks since the summer time. I really liked Port701 and would come back. 5/5

Update: went back and had the sushi, which was surprisingly excellent. I would go here just for sushi, although they only offer specialty type rolls fyi.

Perfect atmosphere for a date night. We had the Brodetto and Fish & Chips and were so impressed by both! Great mojito too.

Extremely bad service for breakfast. Waited 45 mins for food and the waitress never came by to refill coffee or check on us. We were about to walk our. The restaurant was not busy at all. People around us also were frustrated and had to ask for their bills. Our waitress was very rude. First time in my life, we didn't leave a tip. Will never go back!

I always enjoy the food and service here. I really enjoy having a burger here and having a relaxing time. Enjoying a great meal and the beautiful view.

It's a great place to come for a casual lunch or a nice dinner birthday dinner. I've enjoyed many meals here.

My last meal here was during Burger Month. The burger was so tasty. I came with one of of my friends.

The service is friendly and helpful. Thank you to all servers. If I've missed anybody sorry. Cedric Kimberley Evo Mustafa and Paige are just a few that I've happily been served by. Helpful and prompt service with a smile.
