Great hot noodles on a cold rainy day of motorcycle travel. The place was hopping. Out of sight on a lane way in Nelson. Good ramen, doesn't compare to Danbo in Kitsilano, but hit the spot. And the matcha latte was excellent at $10.
Taste definitely improved from when we visited last time two years ago. The broth was rich and flavourful. Will visit again!
Went here for lunch and ended up with a huge meal. We ordered a bowl of ramen each — mine with extra noodles and a tamari egg — plus a pork rice bowl and a couple of the house kombuchas. All were served quickly and were delicious. Ramen was totally on point and the rice bowl was damn tasty, slightly spicy and savoury. Our server was very laid back, yet attentive.
The place had some very good pencil art on display that kept us distractedly interested.
A bit pricey, but everything was top notch great.
The bowl is fantastic, I'd swerve away from the Negroni.
I dined in with 7 other ladies on a Sunday night and to put it simply, service was really bad.
The restaurant was a third full and it took us 15 minutes to be greeted/take our order. It took another 30+ minutes for everyone at the table to receive our drinks, as they were brought out one at a time. We did order several cocktails, but there was a 5-top that walked in after us that received their cocktails all at once, before our table had even received all of ours. The ramen was fine but not amazing. The gochujang tofu was pretty good, as was the noodle bowl. At least the food came out at roughly the same time (within 5 minutes for an 8-top is acceptable to me). The server never did a quality check on food or drinks and was completely absent. Then she cashed out 3 other tables before she brought our bill - we waited for the check for another 45 minutes. Finally another employee came and cashed us out!
I’m in the industry and was very unimpressed by our server. I’m grateful the company was great and we weren’t in a hurry! I would not return.
Great food and great atmosphere, very accomodating of groups as well
Got lucky with no reservation, I liked my ramen but cocktails in general in Nelson are out of whack 2-4 dollars more expensive than they should be. Taking advantage of the people.
food is amazing and came quick. the atmosphere is cozy and it usually isn't too packed. outdoor seating included and the staff are nice. amazing restaurant, only complaint is the food is quite expensive. definitely recommend to come here.
Fantastic Ramen! Delicious. Service was okay. Great atmosphere. Laid back vibes
Can't taste pork bone or any kind. Don't expect Real Japanese Ramen. Don't know why they named it as Tan Tan Ramen when it is not even close to what it actually is. Westernized Ramen is what you should expect and we've tried TanTan and Tamari miso and they tasted not too different other than sesame oil.

I keep getting prompted by Google to re review this place.
Ohmygod the umami is unrivaled. If they're open today I'm getting some. Their online menu says don't mess with portions but I'm going to
I don't often find good vegetarian ramen, but their Butternut Miso ramen is 10/10. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and it's cool to peek in the kitchen from your table. It's perfect on a rainy or snowy day, but they also have a covered patio which is nice.
Great service and sooo yummy!
Great veggie option for the Ramen, and good happy hour! My favourite place to go in Nelson for girls night.

Used to be my favorite restaurant but recently the broth has been extremely oily and the quality is inconsistent
