Best experience we had in Nelson. To be fair, we were the only table. Nice wine tasting with local sourced wines. Very good service with wonderful food in a beautiful setting.

We had the best time here. Place is such a vibe. The waitress was just fantastic. She gave us some good recommendations for the rest of our trip. The wine tasting was just lovely. 10000/10. Y’all do it right.

Really enjoyed my first visit to Sage last night with my partner. The Burger Month Moroccan Lamb Burger was amazingly delicious! So was the lentil donuts and the chocolate torte cake. The service was lovely. The selection of BC wines by the glass and bottle are amazing! Makes me feel at home having moved here from the Okanagan. Great place for a romantic date night. Will certainly return

I ordered a Duck/Coconut soup entrée and an Agli Olio main pasta dish. First faux pas and much to my surprise, I was served both dishes at the same time. The waitress was even surprised that the cook behaved in this manner. I returned the pasta meal even though the waitress offered to put the dish under a heat lamp as well as packaging it for me to take home without charge. First and foremost, I go to a classy restaurant expecting the food to be served fresh and hot. Secondly, I go to a classy restaurant for the culinary experience not a free meal. Seconds faux pas the Duck/Coconut soup was watered down – again disappointing. Let’s go onto desert. My friends ordered a Tiramisu Biscuit – to me it was a unique and interesting desert with tiramisu sauce over a biscuit. The tiramisu I am most familiar with is a layered cake. The problem was not the presentation, the problem was the bottom of the biscuit was burnt. You may not be surprised, but it was returned. Someone (I assume the cook), in their infinite wisdom, decided to remedy the situation by scrapping off the bottom of the biscuit and pouring on more sauce to mask the burnt taste. On the positive side the waitress was pleasant. I'm not sure I would classify this restaurant as one of the best in Nelson
Delightful dining experience. Chef and manager both very personable. Mussels were well prepared and presented in a unique way. The fresh trout was delicious, moist and nicely seasoned. Our favorite Selkirk Loop dinner.
A very delicious meal in a lovely cozy setting. prices were fair. staff was excellent and flavours were delicious.
Been here a couple times while visiting Nelson and the food has been fantastic! Service was quick and great views.

The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, we sat on the patio. I was not happy with the seafood risotto - the rice didn't have that creaminess that makes a risotto, the pieces of fish were too small to distinguish and there were only three mussels in the bowl. I actually asked about the rice and the chef assured us it was a high quality arborio rice. Honestly I don't think the rice we were served was meant for risotto- it looked and tasted more like brown rice. I just think for a $30 dish it was really underwhelming and disappointing.
Kid-friendliness: We brought our toddler and the restaurant staff were very accommodating and there was a kids menu .

Kid-friendliness: Great service !
Have to say we were not imressed we ordered charcuterie board it had sandwich meat and grated carrotts on it. The profciutto was off color and smelled bad. The board was a mess of food that probably should have been tossed. There were a lot if items on the menu that they didn't have in stock. The bread was so hard we couldn't bite it. Sorry to say we had to send it back and eat elsewhere. Waitress and wine were great.
This special place is comfortable and cozy, with attentive staff and a great view of the lake. The food is remarkably good. We enjoyed three dishes this evening. The charcuterie board was excellent, with at least three types of cheese, salami, and ham accompanied by pickled grapes, tapenade, cherry chutney, olives, nuts, and some dried fruit. It was a meal in itself and delicious! Next up was the raviolo which had a rich, flavorful sauce (including egg yolk) that makes you close your eyes and go "oooohhhhh...that's good!" And finally, the mixed vegetable butter curry with basmati rice and pita bread. This was exactly what you expect from an authentic curry...prepared to perfection. we wish we lived closer to Nelson so we could visit this fine restaurant more often.
