This is a great Japanese/Korean restaurant in Nelson - located just off of the main street, Baker st. The food and the service are always enjoyable - especially Korean dishes they have. However, they have portable AC everywhere in the hall, and small flies seem to find their ways into the restaurant quite easily.

I've been here a couple times in a group of 8. There has always been space before 7pm even on a Friday night and service is good.
The Japanese and Korean options are very good but the spicy Korean options are not as spicy as would be typical in South Korea.

I would go for sushi wood! ;) The Yama roll was unlike any vegetarian sushi roll that I’ve ever had. The ingredient ratio was on point (yam to banana to avocado to sauce) Great presentation and beautiful atmosphere. Thank you SUSHI WOOD!

This is a place to go for me for good sushi in the West Kootenays. The rolls are filled with big pieces of fish. Shout out to the server Liza, she's very accommodating, friendly, always welcomes with a smile and makes the experience even better.
