The best way to describe how good Yum Son is: If I was on my death bed, hands down Yum Son would be my final meal.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options. Their cauliflower ‘wings’ are amazing

Great experience tonight! They have a real mai tai on the menu, which can be hard to find, and comes to the table flaming. I got the pork bao buns and spring rolls which were incredible. Service was great. I’ll be back for sure.

"Mutton dressed as lamb" food was rather overpriced at $28 for bone broth pho which was just ok. I was looking for redemption in the Vietnamese coffee after a long day on the slopes, only to be presented with a French press style coffee which contained what tasted like Starbucks Blond roast. When I inquired as to why light roast was used instead of dark roast, server stated that it is a contentious debate, similar to Israel vs. Palestine. I think this restaurant has potential, but it's clear that people are embarrassed to question the prices, and they can get away with it because it's Nelson and there aren't other options for Vietnamese.

I ordered the Pho 20 and iced coffee... waited almost 30 minutes to get my order. So, waiting for a pho that long you would expect that this is really especial... not. Sorry to say, the dish did not even compare to other phos I've tasted. The broth lacks the sweetness, a jalapeño was added but does not work. And for 20$, I thought I would be getting the special. But no, I only got two types of beef, the raw beef and the brisket... It doesn't have the tripe, beef balls, and the tendon, which I look forward to when getting pho. To me it was over priced and did not even taste good. 2stars for the iced coffee (even though it cost 6$) and ambiance.

The service at this place is amazing! Food is full if flavours!!! Tons of vegan options to choose from! Very accommodating aswell as they switched my wife’s dish with a home made sauce instead of the oyster sauce!

After receiving a email from the restaurant, I've updated my review to 4 stars. I wish I didn't have to post a negative review to get a response but I appreciate there are challenges running a restaurant.Tip is to order spring rolls as a side vs appetizer?$16.50 for 2 small spring rolls. No response from questions regarding order mistake.
