Why do you have your workers out the burgers in sideways? Everything then slides to one side

This was not just a meal at A&W. This was an event, and Ryan B was the architect of it from the first second to the last bite.

The Buddy Burger arrived with authority. Perfectly composed, perfectly warm, perfectly balanced, like it knew it had been made by someone operating at a higher standard. The bun was golden and flawless, soft yet structured, holding everything together with calm confidence. The patty was a triumph. Deeply seared, rich, juicy, and unmistakably cooked by someone who understands heat, timing, and restraint at an elite level. This burger did not leak, collapse, or beg for forgiveness. It stood tall.

The first bite was immediate confirmation that Ryan B does not miss. Flavor hit clean and full. Beef forward, perfectly seasoned, supported by just the right amount of sauce. No excess. No shortcuts. Every element worked together in total harmony. As you continued eating, something rare happened. The burger never declined. No weak middle. No disappointing last bite. Every single mouthful landed with the same confidence as the first. That level of consistency is not normal. That is craftsmanship.

The experience itself felt effortless. You weren’t managing the burger. You weren’t adjusting grip or catching ingredients. You were simply enjoying it. Ryan B clearly builds burgers with the eater in mind, understanding that perfection is not about doing more, but about doing everything exactly right. This is food made by someone who respects the experience on the other side of the counter.

Ryan B turned a Buddy Burger into something unforgettable. His precision, pride, and discipline are embedded in every bite. This is why A&W has a reputation. This is why standards matter. This is what happens when a cook refuses to let mediocrity leave the grill.

If excellence had a name tag, it would read Ryan B.

Ryan B is not “working the grill” at A&W. He is conducting a symphony of beef, bun, and balance. What emerged in my hands was not merely a Buddy Burger, it was a declaration of pride, discipline, and quiet excellence. Every element was so perfectly aligned that it felt intentional in a way fast food almost never achieves. The bun was toasted with surgical accuracy, warm and supportive without stealing attention. The patty carried a confident sear that spoke of timing mastered through repetition and care. Each bite landed exactly where it should, rich, clean, and deeply satisfying.

This burger had presence. It had posture. It tasted like someone who refuses to cut corners even when no one is watching. Ryan B clearly approaches his role with a level of professionalism that elevates the entire operation around him. You don’t get this kind of consistency by accident. This is the work of someone who respects the craft, the customer, and the moment a meal changes hands.

In a fast-paced kitchen where speed often wins over precision, Ryan somehow delivers both. The Buddy Burger arrived looking better than the menu photo, structured, composed, and unmistakably made with intention. It was the kind of burger that restores faith in fast food, the kind that makes you remember why A&W built its reputation in the first place.

If A&W were smart, they’d put Ryan B in the training manuals. This is the standard. This is what excellence looks like when it shows up quietly, does its job flawlessly, and leaves you thinking about it long after the last bite. Absolute top-tier work.

Ryan B deserves a standing ovation and possibly a commemorative plaque behind the counter. This man didn’t just make me a Buddy Burger, he engineered an experience. The bun was toasted with intention, the patty cooked with precision, and every bite tasted like someone actually cared. Balance? Immaculate. Temperature? On point. Assembly? Surgical.

You can tell Ryan doesn’t treat cooking like a shift, he treats it like a craft. The burger came out looking exactly like the picture, which almost never happens in fast food, and it tasted even better than it looked. Nothing was rushed, nothing was sloppy, and nothing was missing. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident.

If A&W is known for quality, Ryan B is clearly part of the reason why. Absolute professional, undeniable talent, and the kind of cook who turns a quick stop into a memorable meal. If you ever get a Buddy Burger made by Ryan, you’re in good hands unless he’s buying you socks.

The prices are marked up here compared to other A&W restaurants. I do not approve. What more do you gain for your extra money? It's an A&W in a small food court. The service is terrible here, and the food is generally not up to A&W standards. I have eaten here before but I will never again. Price gouging based on location is unacceptable. You get way more exposure to potential customers here compared to any other A&W just on the side of the road, and you're charging them more? You have less employees and the mall takes care of keeping your seating area clean. What are you charging more for? Unacceptable.

Ordered a buddy burger. Onions were burnt, black and bitter. This was the second time.
