?Ramen review with slight criticism.?A wonderful little gem situated in the New Westminster sky train station. I have been here many times since they opened and have experienced the changes they have done to improve their ramen since then. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a lightly salty and umani rich broth, thin and bouncy noodles with an absolutely delightful egg.The only criticism I have is with their stamp cards and the rewards. It is your typical buy 10 bowls get the 11th free yet there are two rewards. One of them is Gyoza after 5 purchased bowls and the last one is free original ramen.I filled an entire card and when cashing it in for my free Gyoza and bowl of ramen I was told that I could only get or the other, not both. If you wanted the Gyoza then you would cash it in and have to start over again OR you can fill the entire card for only the free bowl of ramen.I re-read the card while ordering and it states nothing about what I was told when cashing it in and nothing states this is how it is done. I hope this helps for many who may get confused when cashing in their stamp cards in the future, to avoid the disappointment.

Ordered Ajitama ramen black, spicy miso ramen and karaage , the broth of the ramen were both flavourless. The ramen egg should be soft-boiled egg but it was overcooked, very disappointed. The price is good but I’ll rather cook myself.
one of my favourite places to eat, came here when they first started out. very cool to see everything they have added to the menu now! so much effort is put into presentation. tasty, affordable meals with friendly service.

I love the pork chasiu ramen with garlic sauce while my husband enjoys his ramen with spicy sauce. Rich & hearty broth. We both like the perfectly cooked extra egg. The honey lemon soda was a great combination of bitter, sweet and sour flavor, very refreshing on a warm day. They have clean bathrooms. Happy to come back.

I love the menu they have now; has the choice or pork or chicken for their ramen topping. I've been a big fan since they've opened. Service is fast paced, casual and friendly. Atmosphere is always clean and their merchandise wall is adorable. Food is always on point and never disappoints. Make sure to fill out those points cards!

I ordered the Yaki Onigiri, Kara-age, and Original Ramen w/ Egg for takeout.The onigiri was decent, the rice ball itself was quite bland. All the flavor was in the sauce.Kara-age was crispy, moist, very savory, and all without being too greasy. The crispness does only last while it's freshly cooked, so keep that in mind for take out orders.Definitely recommend adding an egg to your ramen as it's a marinated egg, which was a pleasant surprise. The pork chashu was tender and delicious and I would have been happy to have the broth as a soup alone. The noodles really stole the show. I could not stop with the noodles once I tried them, leaving me with just the broth, pork, egg, and veggies at the end.

The ramen here is usually very good and consistent even in take out orders. However I ordered the vegan ramen and they only gave the kelp stock and forgot to put in the soy milk and miso to make it tan tan style vegan ramen.Would recommend eating in person in this restaurant to avoid any mistakes.

Quite disappointed that akd kitchen removed chicken from the ramen meat lovers option was the best. I eat here around 3 times a week and have supported akedo ever since the beginning when they used to run out of broth. I hope they can reconsider in the future. I really don't understand why, it's very sad to see this ?.Update 2024 happy to see they brought back chicken char siu!
Great attentive service. Seated at the bar without much of a wait as I was dining solo which is always a perk! No great spot to place jackets in this area though so you have to hold onto long jackets and parkas in your lap while you eat when the weather is cold/wet. Ordered the original chicken ramen, red, added an egg (a bit pricey at extra $2 but it was well made and jammy. Soup was light and yummy and the bar table had jars of crispy garlic, chili flakes and I think sesame that were self serve. Overall just fine but not something I'd go out of my way to visit.

I've been here a number of times. The soy broth here is lovely, not too salty, not too heavy. Nothing negative to say about it at all!But unfortunately the pork cha siu was dry. Plus, this time my mom ordered the veggie ramen which was $2 more expensive than the original ramen and I have NO idea why. The original ramen has 3 slices pork, Chinese greens, a square of dry seaweed, and green onions. The veggie ramen has NO meat (obviously), no seaweed, the same amount of Chinese greens and green onions, a few tablespoons of corn and cooked cabbage with a few bits of carrots. Why pay $2 extra for NO protein and a few bits of vegetables? I don't understand the logic.I come for the broth. Most of the other toppings are better at other restaurants I've tried.
