✨ Had a wonderful birthday dinner at El Santo in New Westminster! The food was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. We shared tacos and empanadas—honestly the best I’ve ever had. The place was great, the food was amazing but the service was not good. You can't expect too much from a place in New West. The reason I give the service a low rating is because our table was in the middle of restaurant where the servers walk past us all the time but they didn't check in on us. I asked for a spoon twice and we had to look for them to ask for the bill even though they came and told us it was last call.
I would go back again for the food. Its a good neutral area.

This is mostly a bar than a restaurant. The menu is mostly drinks. If you are looking for a place to drink and have some nice appetizers, this would be a good choice.
The food selection is very limited and expensive.
Tacos were delicious (Barbacoa and Pastor) I was very disappointed with Guacamole: plain smashed avocado, no lemon, salt or tomato. Queso asado was a good choice, I liked it.
Music was a bit loud for the size of the restaurant but light ambiance and song selection was good!
Overall, my expectations were different but I had a nice time. Since I'm Mexican I was craving mostly for food.

This would be my regular spot if I lived here. Amazing atmosphere, staff was attentive & friendly, INCREDIBLE food & a margarita with salt & tajin on the rim! The owner was so kind & personable, he took time to greet each guest at their table. Must stop destination.
