We recently visited Gastronomia Italia Deli in New Westminster to grab a few items for our drive back home to Kamloops! The pastries, the bakery items, along with a free sample item (pasticciotto) plus a few gift items purchased, we were ready for the drive! Everything was so delicious, tasty, fresh and the service was great! Very nice meeting Cristine and hearing their story of their journey to opening such a beautiful business in New Westminster! After many many tries.They simply cannot produce or have more excuse than than Biden has lies..No spicy Weiner's or Meatballs,Pesto ever , just excuses. Firstly, the location is gorgeous and clean, and the staff are lovely and helpful.It was hard to pick just a few things, but I’ll be back! Can’t wait to try everything.The back of the store has a well stocked fridge/freezer and I got what I thought was a baked pasta of some sort but it had no label - and was told at the front it’s baked polenta with brisket.I don’t usually love polenta, but why not.Please, go get the polenta. The photo doesn’t do it any justice.It’s so comforting, flavourful, and rich tasting.We also got Italian pepperoni- excellent, and frozen Italian sausage rolls, but haven’t tried those yet. I just had to come by and tell you about the polenta.Thanks Gastronomía, see you soon ?

I wish I took a photo before I devoured everything.I have been here twice in one week, it is just that good!The pizza is more like a flat bread, but it was soooo good! I also had the ariccia and the fresca sandwiches. fresca is on the saltier side for sure. Otherwise, it is definitely one of the best sandwiches I had in my life. Not even exaggerating.It is like the taste of Italy in your mouth ??You must try it.Update: $7 for a pizza slice is absurd….

The deli is clean, ambiance is great, and I have previously had the sandwiches and they were good. I bought gift certificates - buying local - for people who enjoy their food. Please be aware that I was told that any balance on a gift certificate is not provided to the recipient as either change or credit. I looked this up and it is illegal. So if you are buying gift certificates or using gift certificates from this establishment please be aware the by law they must honour the full value of the gift certificate. The relevant legislation is the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act Part 2.

Lobster tail has the best crunch but come early while it's fresh and available. I love the croissants, open face pizza, I love the deli side and Italian grocery. I am not someone who likes to change my coffee but when I am close to Colombia street, I pass by and grab a snack or food and a cappuccino, lovely smooth warm drink but you might grab Italian cookies to go. I love this place and would love to visit again.

Fantastic sandwiches made to order. Baked selections are also fantastic. I have a few friends that go at least once a week. Unfortunately my waistline can't afford to do so but I allow myself a great at most once a month.
