I'm a slow eater now, and I used to live so near! fear kept it fast than pace could keep up with! I'm sorry I never came to visit earlier back in the day; I may have remembered it once with my sister looking for a pick up to try. but we weren't one for great conversation; good peacemeal. I was able to enjoy the people as when I was in Japan I was constantly worried what was a facade for presentation. I loved guessing in the menu what it could mean to you; I know family owned too- we had a dry cleaner. I liked the eel, was my dad's first choice visiting them and eating with them then. thank you! wishing Wells

I ran across Ikoi while walking around, and I'm glad I stopped in. The service was very good, friendly, and pleasant. The food came amazingly fast, and was delicious.

Not much food selection. No tempura, no noodles or no uni. Sushi wasn't fresh, got diarre after.

We visited this Japanese restaurant and ordered the sushi and sashimi boat set for two. The presentation was beautiful, and the variety of seafood—salmon, tuna, shrimp, squid, mackerel, and octopus—was impressive. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, clearly prepared with care and good-quality ingredients.

The set also included two bowls of miso soup and a pair of salads. While the soups were warm and comforting, the salads felt more like a Western-style twist and didn’t quite reflect authentic Japanese flavors.

One small letdown was the sushi rice, which lacked the slight sweetness and balanced seasoning typically expected. Additionally, the soy sauce provided was on the salty side, which slightly overpowered the more delicate pieces.

The restaurant is spacious and decorated in a traditional Japanese style, creating a peaceful and pleasant dining atmosphere. It’s run by a Japanese chef and staffed with Japanese servers, which adds an extra layer of authenticity to the overall experience.

Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, and with a few small improvements, it could be a fantastic spot for sushi lovers.

Small restaurant sushi with Japanese chef. The food is great and the waitress is nice. We tried the chef's selected assorted sushi and loved the quality. Reservation is recommended on the weekend. Easy parking in the front. Please notice that there's a minimum charge per person ($15), and 18% gratuity is applied for groups of 6 and more.

I always order here every year for my birthday and I've never been disappointed. Great restaurant with delicious food.

Ambiance is terrible, they play the radio, you feel like you're in a school cafeteria. Not the Japanese vibe you would hope for! Food is okay, fish is fresh, nothing special, a bit pricey.
