Huge portion size and delicious food. It’s my first time trying out East African food, so I asked the staff for recommendations and ended up ordering their Massawa Tibs with beef and of mild spice. The beef was flavorful and not salty, and the injera was spongy and a bit sour but good. They even gave me more injera on the side.
The food was just like the pictures but I was pleasantly surprised by the humongous portion size. I’ll say you could order one and share for two people. I ordered one for myself but was left filled to the brim.
The staff was extremely attentive and made sure everything was ok.

🤗Ordered one simple dish and waited for 40+mins for it, and got this watery crap instead. Waitress said it was ready yet still went to collect dirty dishes from other table first before serving the food. And the best part? Non-stop diarrhea (4 times now and still counting) from this crap! Will definitely tell all my friends, family and colleagues to avoid this place and everyone to spread the word of this bad experience. ☺️

The server here is really kind and welcoming, which makes the dining experience even better. The food is incredibly delicious, full of flavor, and always served fresh. They also offer a large platter with generous portions, making it a great place to enjoy a satisfying meal.

We had discovered this restaurant several years ago, enjoyed it thoroughly, and couldn’t wait to get back. I’m extremely sensitive to grains (eg: wheat) and it went without saying that their injera is made the traditional way, and therefore gluten-free.
Two of us ordered a veggie platter, the servings were so generous we couldn’t possibly get through all of it, but truly enjoyed every bite.
The service was, and is, friendly and fast, and the food simply couldn’t be better. All of this and at a remarkably reasonable price to boot. Already looking forward to next time.

I went in for dinner with a couple friends, having never tried East African cuisine before, because I really wanted to try injera. We got the vegetarian combo for two, kapreto, and hummus, all to share, and oh my lord. Every single part of the dish was absolutely incredible. All of the flavors were so good, on their own and mixed together with anything else. Every bite was different, the varying levels of spice played so well together, the meat and vegetables were all so juicy. We dug in so fast that we didn't even take pictures, we ate until we were all completely stuffed and there was still food left on the table, and before tip it was a little under $20 per person. I haven't been blown away by a restaurant in a long time. The server was very sweet as well. Going to be coming back here again and again!

I loved everything I tried here—super delicious, high-quality, and really fresh, all made to order. I also really appreciated that the server let us know about the spiciness level of certain dishes, since I can’t have spicy food for health reasons. One good tip is to order an item that mentions jalapeño on the East African menu and just ask them to leave out the jalapeño. Highly recommend this spot :)
