Went for dinner tonight. The experience was okay overall. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The food quality was decent, but compared to the Mongolian BBQ I’ve tried in Kitsilano, this location wasn’t at the same level. The flavors were fine, just not the best quality.
The restaurant could definitely benefit from some renovation—the décor feels old and could use an update to make the atmosphere more enjoyable.
In general, it’s an okay place for a casual meal, but nothing fancy or special .

The restaurant’s restroom is dirty and poorly maintained. Customers should be aware of this before visiting

It's a small operation but it's a great Mongolian grill place that charges by the bowl, not the weight. Went away feeling full! Going back to hone my rusty bowl packing skills!

Ingrid and I used to frequent The Mongo Bongo in New Westminster often...then we have been going to the Cactus Club as it's closer to our office...South Burnaby..during the Recovery Day event uptown I popped in and was welcomed with open arms by the owner Peter...was like a homecoming...I couldn't stop talking about the flavors and how I had missed the style of preparation and selection. Ingrid and I stopped in yesterday and where reminded how much we had missed this hidden gem. TO Top it off we where entertained by the Lovely bartender Kaitlyn...who has a great witty sense of humor keeping things lite...Kaitlyn shared her schooling and volunteer work with a care Home Buchanan Lodge my Dad's final resting place....Dad would have loved her spirit. And Peter's Son Aidan was the cook ...and he nailed it....Highly recommend this local family run restaurant for a wholesome meal in a great environment....The Beattie Clan...( POP'S )

This place is great! The food was reasonably priced and the ingredients tasted fresh and great quality. The super model looking server woman was very sweet and attentive. Recommended!

Food is always great. Great atmosphere. Good conversations.
The service and atmosphere was pleasant. We did find the meats to not be very fresh though. Might give this place another chance in the future.

I had amazing experiences at The Mongolian Grill in Richmond, BC until it closed. This one looked similar so thought I would give it a try. More like a whittled/scaled down down version of that restaurant, this very small but mighty grill boasts meats, veggies and sauces (a nice array!) that then go on a circular style grill and get cooked in front of you. Unlike the previous which sold by weight, this one sells by the bowl and I didn't even fill it to the maximum height and was still full and satisfied. The additional charge dumplings had a tasty inside, though were deep fried a tad too long. (No harm no foul!) Yes, this place is a little smaller (though with cool plaques on the restroom walls!) and with less frills (no rice wrap with hoisin sauce), but the quality and flavor wins out.
