In the front street block en route to the cafe, I saw two groups of people shooting up. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, I recommend you drive to the cafe and take advantage of the parking lot out front. The cafe itself is nice inside. The coffee is okay (dark roasted, no pour over options).

Off the beaten path. Walk (or drive) to the eastern end of Front St. A roastery / coffee shop in a funky, somewhat industrial space. Smallish seating area on the mezzanine. Friendly and well-priced.

Truck broke down on front street today, a woman from a construction site came up to me and handed me a cookie. She said it was from the coffee shop, I didn’t get a chance to thank you guys but that was very generous and thoughtful. It meant a lot me because of how my day was going lol, but the kind gesture sure made up for it!

We found this place through a search, and the café’s interior was nice and the coffee was delicious. The staff kindly informed us that he could customize our drinks. We would definitely visit again!

Great coffees and drinks. Roasted in house; passionate about single source beans. The location is not great. As you head down he stairs (or along Front) you may find yourself questioning how badly you need caffeine. As you open the door to Mukasi the fragrant aroma will remind you that in fact you did come to the right place.

I bought their grinded coffee from farmers market. A decision that I would regret a lot. Their coffee is extremely bitter compared to other coffee. Their grinded coffee also clogs my coffee filter and does not allow the water to pass because it clumps together. I have had this issue only with one coffee brand and its theirs. Its so bad, I would score it in negative. -100/100. Waste of money.
I’m giving this place 5 stars! The surrounding area might look a bit odd, but that’s definitely not their fault. The coffee shop itself is cozy and welcoming, with a warm atmosphere. The attendant was extremely polite and made us feel right at home. I tried the mocha coffee, and it was amazing — totally my taste! I’ll definitely be back!

Their coffee is incredible. Not bitter, robust flavour, but not acidic. A little out of the way, in an “interesting” part of New West, but cozy and comfy. Highly recommend

The guy who works on Fridays was very sweet and he took the effort to make me a drink that wasn't on the menu, just because I crave it from one of the pictures. I was so lucky to come in the day he works because the drink was sooooo goood and worth it 🤤🤤🤤

If you’re looking for a cafe with the perfect vibes, Mukasi is the place to go! From its jazzy playlists, cozy furniture, and friendly staff, it all contributes to a nice hole in the wall cafe that is one of downtown New West’s hidden gems. The lattes are delicious and their matcha is delicious. Although its location is a bit unconventional, the cafe keeps me coming back. Aldo I would recommend small groups since it is a small cafe and the interior is wheelchair inaccessible.

I bought Tanzania coffee. $70 for 1kilo…Wow. I bought a very small bag for trial. I have a Jura E8. That coffee tastes nothing. I think that either it is an old batch or perhaps overly roasted. Too bad.
