We went last night, and I really couldn’t believe there weren’t more people there. We ordered the nachos and I was expecting the usual hardened cheese and loose chips beneath with nothing on them, but these nachos were built different. Loved it. We had the pupusas, the mole enchilada and something else. Everything was perfectly put together. This place needs the neighbourhood to go during the week, just like I said for Majic Man’s Barber on Edmonds. Small businesses that only have 2 or 4 hands can’t make it work on weekends only. Everyone left full with dessert for about 20 bucks each with 3 people. Cheers and thanks! Enjoy!

I had the chicken mole and it was great. Rice had a spice in it that was different for me and went really well with the rest of the dish.

Mar 23 2024 around 5:19pm.Came to restaurant. Felt a disgusting smell like a mold from the floor or tables or air.No one said hi first, just glared at us like few seconds. The old man(Server I guess) came to the table and we said hi again. No smile nor eye contact at all and the worst part was he avoided it and looked out the windows to check outside. What the hell?!?Later the lady came to take orders.(Probably he must have felt something that we were unset about his rudeness.)We ordered items for to go.We picked them up and dumped in the garbage bin.Thank you for ruining our date.

Staff was ok,but this is not Mexican food, it is more like a fusion of tastes.

We ordered nachos, flautas, and a plate of pork carnitas. The nachos was different because of the white cheese instead of your usual cheddar. Flautas were served warm. However, the carnitas meat tasted a bit old.Price point was good because it was affordable. Homey ambiance. Service was friendly.Overall, it was just okay.

Came here with my wife because we wanted to try a Mexican place near our house (within biking distance), and were pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. The portions were very generous compared to the price. Would def recommend.

Avoid this place PLEASE!! I got a carnitas takeout from this place because I saw good reviews on Google. But I was quite disappointed with my food and experience. Firstly, the meal was small. I got fried rice that was not tasty and carnitas that was overcooked with a small slab of beans and guacamole. Then the guy over charged me $15.5 and when I later looked at the menu after I paid, I saw it was $14.75. Very sketchy place and bad food. Not sure if the reviews are fake because the food definitely didn't look as appetizing as the photos.

I split Nachos with a friend and had one entree. I spent just over $25, with a tip. I love coming here when I can. Service is fine, the place is small, and the food is always good. Bring cash. I recall their debit machine is down like 1 in 5 times I go there.

I had to sleep on this review for several nights. The bottom line is if you're craving Mexican food - don't go here. Small spot. Classic Mexican trinkets line the walls. It was completely empty at 6pm on a Friday. We entered and no one greeted us. Ever. We sat ourselves until someone sauntered out. The older man who appears to be running the place is a character. I truly felt like I had walked onto the set of a play. This man either doesn't care in any way about the success of the business or his customers // or truly doesn't understand what his role is. He refused to give us what we ordered multiple times. If we wanted beef he would say No, it's not good. He wouldn't serve us chips saying our kid will choke. He wouldn't give us a dish we ordered telling us it's too much food. Simply talking to him was quite a challenge and caused tension. We gave up and just ordered anything. Side note - it's a no alcohol establishment. No license. When we asked if they had beer he mocked us - "Ohhh you NEED alcohol?" There's no other way to put it, the food is below mediocre. It's bad. It's flavourless, small, basically a bunch of mush. It's pretty clear things are premade and just heated or microwaved as enchiladas came out in about five minutes. Overall, the place was quite dirty. Sticky floors. And down right rude and uncomfortable. Such a disappointment. They need to get a proper server in place to elevate the experience and invest $$ in lot proper food. At the very least, clean the floors and remember - the customer is always right. At least let them order what they want.

We love it here, the best Mexican cuisine in the lower mainland. Love the owner and listen to his recommendations for what to order. You always feel welcome here.
