Nice place to go to after a stroll along the waterfront. Grab some baked goods from the bakeshop, sit and relax in the eating area. Then grab some produce from the market before you head home.

I always find vegetables with special offer. They have a lot of teas and special products like bread gluten free, great pastas, etc

Hasn't changed much in several years, but it's a pleasant walk.
NO BROOMING AROUND CUSTOMERS! Sitting down with my mom for lunch and was met with the janitor brooming around our table while we're eating. I politely asked if he can sweep after we are done eating to which he rudley replied "No its my job i have to do this" I said "I understand its your job but do you mind not sweeping while we eat here? we don't want any dust flying up" then he said "No I do this every day I need to" I said I understand that but just not around us please". Unfortunately he can't tell that people like to eat their food dust free. He then gets mad becoming passive aggressive and roughly slides 3 chairs close to the back of my chair. He then walks up to a girl sitting down asking her to get up because he needs to sweep, he even pushed the couch while she was sitting down on it. After this he goes to another customer demanding him to get up because again he needs to sweep. I could see both people were very upset because of sweeper boy, especially the second customer. I am sick and tired of having my peace interrupted by rude employees with no respect sweeping around my table, under my table and even having the nerve to ask me to move because they need to sweep. Have a bit of respect when customers are dining, customers are not obligated to move so you can sweep. Companies need to change their sweeping policy and get employees do all that around closing time not when the customers are having their lunch. SWEEPER BOY!

***Awesome Soya Sauce infused with ginger! This is a must try, especially with sushi! Picked it up at the New Westminster Quay( River Market). They have other flavours, too. Like Garlic, Sriracha and Wasabe!! There is an arts and craft market until 4pm.

I like this market, lots of good food and the City Avenue Market has a good selection of groceries with prices on par or lower than Safeway/Saveon. The deli counter is good too. We like the Pamola Bakery, and the Great Wall of Tea. Lots to find here. Good neighbourhood market!
