Spring Garden is an old school Chinese restaurant in New West. It's been a few years since I last visited and things don't look like they've changed much. The interior is nothing to write home about... The walls could use a new paint job and the seat covers are showing signs of much wear. But if that doesn't bother you, you can find some good eats here.Dropped by for dim sum. Free parking in the back. Don't be discouraged walking in through the back door. Some of the items we liked included the deep fried sesame balls with black sesame filling. These came our hot and fresh and the black sesame was perfectly oozing when we bit into them. The beef brisket rice roll hot pot was also really good with tender beef brisket and a yummy sauce.A few misses were the pork bean curd wraps (the filling just seemed very different than I'm used to).Other items were pretty much down the middle like the spareribs, siu mai, prawn spring rolls and the chili wontons (which aren't very spicy).

I have been ordering from SG for several years now on a regular basis. I done everything between a lunch meal for just myself to ordering enough for a group of 15-20 during special get-togethers and family times. This is my "go to" Chinese restaurant in New West. Period. Full stop. I actually have friends who live more into Burnaby and Surrey, but still make the trek here.Do yourself a favour and try it out. I doubt that you will not be disappointed.

Good place, I wish they offer Halal more since 1/3 of the world is Muslims and they love multi cultural foods from everywhere.. contact 2 sisters supplier and they will give best prices!!

Heard about this place through a local FB foodie group so we decided to try the dim sum and I think we found our new favorite local spot. Service was great, food was fresh, portions were large, very tasty will be back - wish I took pics!! Definitely worth a try.

Dim sum is about $6.50 to $7.50 per plate. I recommend the Shiu Mai (big and juicy ?) and chicken feet which was quite soft. Their xiao long bao is decent as well. Service is just okay.

Dim sum at Spring Garden was delicious and service was good. Our favorite was the scallop and shrimp dumpling and the braised tendon and beef curry. Yummy! We intend to go back and try their dinner dishes. I think this is a hidden gem.

It is a family run business and they pride on good food and service. Now when I crave dim sum , I will no longer drive to Vancouver or Richmond. I can go right in my neighborhood ☺️

Here is a letter of recommendation for the Spring Garden Chinese Seafood Restaurant. I have been going there for about three years now and have never had a bad experience. Recently, when we were visiting family outside Toronto, I ordered shrimp fried rice from this place and it happened to be the best meal I have ever had in my life.

Definitely one of my favorite spots for good, inexpensive comfort food! My boyfriend and I always come here for their crystal prawn dumplings and the Shanghai noodles. Their chili oil is truly the best, especially paired with the dumplings! Great service and great food!

Great tasting Dim Sum!It has a more homemade vibe and taste to it than the other dim sums I've been to in Greater Vancouver.

Try the homemade hot chili oil (they should bottle this up and sell it)The food is good for this style of Chinese food. The only dish I didn't like a lot was the deep fried squid. It needed a bit more flavour and spice.Their star dishes would be the chow mein, fried rice, rice noodles. Those type of dishes would not fail here.
