The food was better than I expected. Service was amazing. The only problem was that I ordered to much.

We discovered here while on a family day out. The service was exceptional and the food was some of the best appetizers and sushi we have had! Will definitely be back!

We rediscovered this little hidden gem. Great food. The male server is always excellent!
We love the inari bombs, rolls and gyoza. We have yet to try other dishes. Try the matcha affogato. It's really good!

After visiting my grandmother, my husband and I went to Sushi Simagoya restaurant, which was highly rated on Google reviews. The restaurant was conveniently located near my grandmother's nursing home.

We decided to try their Assorted Sashimi, which was fresh and delicious, except for the Tai, which was a bit fishy, and the tuna, which was chewy. The Prawn tempura was not crispy enough, but the prawns inside were tender. The Gyoza was crispy and tasted like potato chips. The Spicy salmon bomb was the best dish, with plenty of salmon and a bit of rice. The Korean-style fried chicken was not to my husband's liking, but I found it crispy and juicy. The Toro sushi was not fresh, but the Ika sushi was refreshing and fresh. When we arrived around 7:00 pm, it was like we had booked the entire restaurant, as we were the only table.

However, the service was non-existent, with no tea served and no smiles from the staff. It seemed like a family-run business, with the father making sushi, the sister serving, and the younger brother running around and shouting.
We were disappointed with our experience and will not be returning.

The sushi and sashimi were amazing, and the miso soup was delicious. The only small drawback is that they seem a bit cautious with portions — for example, when asking for extra ginger, wasabi, or even miso soup.

I lived in Queensborough landing for almost 12years now. I’ve never tried these restaurants on Ewen as I always prefer across the bridge restaurants are generally more fresh and professional in their particular cuisine. Today my car broke down and I am craving for sushi and can’t wait for my uber eats, I decided to risk it and try this place out. To my surprise the sushi blew me away and the quality is up there! I think can sell my car and just walk here from now on. One thing I would suggest is in the online ordering system, if u can choose to have a comment section which I can have a choice or no certain sauce on my sushi because I cannot take Mayo. Well done will definitely return.
