This is the first sushi restaurant I visited after moving here last year. It wasn't break time or closing time, but they told me to leave because they weren’t doing business. And a year has passed, but they still haven‘t closed. I think this is not a restaurant, but a suspicious store. A store with a different purpose disguised as a restaurant. Well, there are many other good places to eat sushi, so it doesn't matter, but if you guys are a real sushi restaurant, I feel like I want to eat there for no reason.

This review isn’t about the food — the food is great when you can get it.
I came in hoping to enjoy a meal with my wife, but we were refused service with no explanation. The place was practically empty, with just one other table occupied. We weren’t offered a reason, an apology, or even the option to order takeout.
This happened a while ago, but the experience never sat right with me. I truly hope things have improved since then, because the food deserves better service to match.

Definitely the best bento in town! Very high quality cuts of meat, and very fresh ingredients. Will be my new go-to for sushi :)
The curry flavour is an adequate balance of salty umami and subtle spice. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. I highly recommend the Alaska roll to individuals for whom sushi is the preferred selection.
Thank you.
Giving two stars because the server was very kind. Can’t speak to the food as we never got to have it. Five of us walked in for lunch, with about two hours of time available. The server said it would be about 40 minutes for food to be ready for so many people, which was totally fine, we were there for socializing as well. The owner then looked at our group as we sat down and said he could not and would not serve a group of our size regardless of time. What is supposed to happen if three groups of two come in? I appreciate it can be busy, but there was no one else in the restaurant but us. It was disappointing to not be able to support a local restaurant.
Rude customer service
Small one-person-owned place. I love sushi and the energy
Good quick simple Japanese food. Chicken teriyaki bento was filling and delicious. Would come again!
I had a co-worker visit the city, and he really wanted to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we went twice and couldn't get food.
The first time we went here for lunch at 12:30, they told us we needed to wait for 1 hour. Then we went again after work at 7 p.m., and they told us they were close at 7:30 p.m.
I will recommend anyone who wants to try this restaurant to visit between 2 PM and 5 PM since this is not the first time I have experienced it.

This is some of the best food I’ve ever had! The man that was there is the cashier, waiter, chef and owner!!! He’s very friendly and is also busy, the food is definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is wonderful, it’s peaceful, and quiet. For a small business, it feels extremely professional. The food was also very affordable. As someone visiting Vancouver, I was expecting to pay $$$$$ on everything, but this place made me feel comfortable, and let me feel good about spending my money, along with the food be very very good. If I was a local to the area I’d definitely make this my regular spot to grab a bite. If you ever have the chance, go and grab some food and support this business.

So my kids are hungry and hoped to eat chicken udon. We did some research and drove to Yen. After paying for one hour parking, we walked to the restaurant. There are some seats and a bold Asian man. He asked for take out? I said no we would like to eat in. He said no eat in, only take out. Very cold, indifferent, and rude.
So I went outside and there’s no sign about take out only nor it indicates on the Google. I’m sure if it’s discrimination against the race, or as I’m with two kids.
Will not go again for sure. I’ve wasted half an hour driving there, parking, and walking there with two kids, facing this attitude.
Super disappointed. Think again if you are with kids.
We walked to Ki Sushi and had a great dinner there. We were well-welcomed and the food is great there!

The owner is always very rude.
We will never go back to the restaurant.
The owner is also a cashier, waiter and chef. He's busy, so don't expect the normal Japanese restaurant service. Food is better than my expectations. Sushi is okay but the udon is so yummy. Broth is just simply tasty & healing. The bento is served in a plastic tray which is a bit sad as a dining out dinner.
