The manager was super friendly and kind. He explained the cakes and suggested the truffle chocolate cake, it was AMAZING! Beautifully decorated, not too sweet and very light. When I ask for one candle because it was my grandson’s first month, he suggested to write a message on the cake. We also got to meet the lady on the back who was mexican and talked for a while the four of us. Didn’t ask their names ??‍♀️The kind of attention , the interest of getting to know the customers is appreciated, it makes you feel special.Thank you!

The gem located at Ewen Avenue is Take the Cake. My journey with them began seven months ago when I purchased a surprise bag from Good to Go. Ever since then, I have become a regular customer. The taste of the cakes and Cookies is exquisite, and Mr. Lalit's humble nature makes the experience even better. During Christmas, my family and I tried to purchase Rum cake for three days, but it was always out of stock. However, Mr. Lalit was kind enough to bake us some fresh Rum cake for us to enjoy on Christmas.Thank You for the kind Gesture, Mr Lalit. ?

I have been visiting this cafe since January and every time I try something new, it leaves me amazed. I have tasted a lot of items here and everything has been delicious. Currently, I am enjoying a hazelnut chocolate mousse cake and a chicken puff with a cup of latte, and I must say, it is a fantastic experience. The cake is rich yet light on the stomach, which is a unique taste I have never experienced before! If you ever visit this cafe please do try their puffs and pastries you will get a rich European taste in Canada. The cafe has become one of my favourites, from the ambience and staff to the owner himself, everything is perfect here.

A hidden gem in an unassuming little mall. We had latte, flat white, a caramel chocolate tarte, and a lemon citrus tarte. Really good coffee and the tartes were delicious. Would definitely come back again. Highly recommend.

What I absolutely adored about the cake was that the sweetness was spot-on perfect. And let's talk about the taste – incredible doesn't even begin to cover it. Seriously, it's like a flavor explosion in your mouth. Finding something similar in all of Vancouver? Good luck with that!Sure, the cakes might be on the pricier side, but hey, you're getting what you pay for – quality through and through. Take the Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse Cake, for instance, at $62. But once you taste it, you'll understand why. The ingredients are top-notch, and here's a fun fact: the owner trained in Europe, so you know you're getting the real deal. Most of the chocolate used is straight from Belgium and France – talk about fancy! Now, why isn't this bakery more famous in the city? Well, it might have something to do with its location in Queensborough, which let's face it, feels like the edge of the universe sometimes. But trust me, locals know what's up, and they flock there for good reason. If you're all about quality, this bakery will easily become one of your favorites. Give it a shot – you won't regret it!

I ordered through Too Good Too Go and they canceled my order two days in a row. On the second day they canceled just minutes before I arrived. I had to to drive 30 minutes to them just to find out it was cancelled just before I arrived and the person didn't try to do anything to make it up and had to drive 30 minutes back. Quite disappointing and bad experience!

This place is the best. A clean, little place you can go for delicious coffee and chai and ice cream in the summer. The cakes are made with fine ingredients and what I like is they don't taste really sweet and full of sugar. Delicious desserts. Every time I am in Queensborough I go here. The owner is very kind, helpful and he always gives me a little extra something.

We got the chocolate truffle cake from Take the Cake last week for my eight-year-old niece's birthday. It was heavenly - both the way it looked (with a generous spread of white chocolate flakes and a full golden berry on top) and tasted. What trumped even that was the service - the store owner gifted a chocolate cupcake to my niece after learning that the birthday cake was for her. The simple act made her day ?

The Chocolate Truffle Cake, its signature cake - is devastatingly rich and moist, but not sweet. We've tried the Red Velvet and Black Forrest cakes too in the past, and both are a league of their own. I'm not usually fond of Black Forrest cakes, but after tasting it I became a fan. It is decadence in its finest, and a class act vs. the usual Black Forrest cakes out there! We've tried the other pastries too ever since we've discovered this place 18 months ago, and they don't disappoint. However, I think this place's strengths are its cakes. Those can rival or probably even better than similar cakes we've savored in Europe (notably London, Paris, Florence, Munich, Vienna and Prague). Lalit, the owner/pastry chef is consistently friendly and passionate with his creations. The place is itself is clean, unassuming and has plenty of small town charm tucked in the Queensborough neighborhood of New Westminster, BC! This patisserie is definitely a hidden gem in the Greater Vancouver area!

Tiramisu cake: a tasty 7/10, looked as good as it tasted. Pastries steal the show with a perfect 10/10. Ambiance ideal for studying or working, friendly customer service earns an 8/10. And don't miss their coffee - a solid 9/10, definitely worth a try if you're in New West! #DelightfulExperience

Stopped in for the first time today for some coffee and a potato puff.I love my experience here. A lot of selection of European goods, that uses quality ingredients. not so sweet, not so oily, good if you are on a diet. if you are in the area and want some goodies or hot drink go check it out!!

Had the mousse hazelnut and Basque cheese cake, both yummy, will come back again. Would be better if cakes slices were bigger. Staff is really friendly.
