Things were just off from the beginning this night. From the server to the food.
We had a young woman who asked if we wanted drinks and we did but we wanted a few minutes to catch up. She checked back again within 5 min but we were still catching up but, this time it felt like she had a little attitude and was put out when we weren't quote ready a second time and she walked off. I guess she was going to teach us a lesson because... she didn't return again for 10-15 minutes later. Unfortunately, I didn't write down her name. I should have.
Then, my order came out wrong and had to be sent back. I had greek salad with chicken. The chicken was literally room temperature almost cold- not grilled fresh. The greek salad was bland and lacked taste and was crammed into a soup bowl instead of a proper salad-type bowl. Not very appealing for sure. When you dug in, the salad had no choice but to spill over the sides of the bowl onto the table.
My friend told me his chicken souvlaki lacked taste and freshness. The rice was mushy and didn't taste freshly prepared.
It's too bad employees don't care or appreciate very often how much the Owners risk so much and pay to keep their restaurants in business and operational. Employees have a responsibility to not serve sub-quality products to their patrons. But, they sure expect 20+% in tips.
Nowaday, there are too many restaurants to choose from and I'd have to say, it's not likely we'd return. Who can afford to pay for a 2nd less-than-satisfying experience like this one was when there are so many others to explore!

Taverna Greka is a New Westminster gem. This family run restaurant has a stellar staff, amazing food and lovely atmosphere. The staff are attentive and friendly; the appetizers and main dishes we ordered were well presented and delicious. We completed our evening with a traditional dessert ‘Ek Mek’. It was a perfect ending to a fantastic meal! Reservations recommended for this “authentic” gem!

As soon as we walked in we felt like family, Kosta was an absolute gentleman and definitely created an amazing atmosphere for our group. I couldn't recommend this place enough if you're in the area
Service was excellent and food was delicious. It was everything we expected. We sat next to the window and the view was very nice.
I highly recommend it and would visit again!
Entrence: Saganaki (we had two order it twice, it was so good) Dinner: Lamb chops and Pork ribs No desert since we were full, but will try the Ek mek next time.

We came on a date before the Hidden Wonders experience and we’re thrilled having found this delightful spot! Most tables are by the window overlooking the river with all its fascinating activity. Our server Kostas was such a gentleman and really had his heart invested in our experience! We started with spanakopita (best we’ve ever had!) and tzatziki (fresh and light, fabulous!) then had the moussaka and the rib and chicken combo, both of which knocked our socks off and had us offering bites to each other with wide eyes! We will definitely be back, with friends!

TG hosted my son’s wedding reception dinner this July. We were exceptionally impressed by the professionalism, the delicious appetizers, drinks and dinner. Highly recommended for a venue for your special event. I have dined here for decades and have always been very happy with the quality and quantity of any of their delicious menu items. Always a lovely place for a quiet dinner for two as well.
We just hosted a large 90th birthday party and the experience was excellent. From booking the room and working through our options to the evening itself, Koula and Lena were very helpful and on top of everything. The event went smoothly and everyone appreciated the great food and phenomenal staff members. I would definitely not hesitate to book an event here again and also just love coming for an evening out to enjoy a nice dinner and atmosphere.
