I've been getting my breakfast here almost weekly for a few years. Friendly staff and great fast service! However, I recently got burned by one of thier policies (might of been a language barrier or miscommunication) I asked to substitute ham for sausage and was told we can do that. When I got my bill I saw a $3 add on for the sausage. I asked I thought it was a substitute? I was told this is how they do substitutes. So I paid full price for the breakfast but they removed the ham and added sausage for an extra $3. This is not a substitute this is a rip off. So I paid for ham and sausage but only received the sausage. I don't think this is a fair practice. I felt ripped off. Although only $3 it is the principal. So your policy is to rip people off ? customers should be aware of this before trying to substitute anything

Our first time to Dakotas, and we had a wonderful time, sitting on the patio, watching the sunset. The setting is lovely, they have a well thought-out menu, the food was great, and our waiter was very attentive and engaging. If we lived nearby, we'd be regulars!

Always a fantastic meal with equally amazing views! The Dakota burger is one of the best I have ever had, and with a front row seat to the planes coming and going? Truly a wonderful experience. They have updated their hours so now you can enjoy the sunset from this delicious establishment. I always look forward to a meal and some plane spotting here, 10/10!!

Love the aviation decor. Food was good and service fast. We had a 30 min turnaround and they were able to make it happen.Only wish they had a latte machine.

Great hidden gem! At the end of the Victoria airport runway. We Watched the planes take off and enjoyed a great, breakfast. Great value and good service; especially considering it was one lady running the front end service all by herself. Plan to go back again soon. Patio looks great also.

The lady (dark brown/black hair) work there was super rude,. i was in a rush for my flight and was asking if I can order right away coz I know what I want and her reply was No immediately and saying its first come first serve basis, understand that. Then I read that wonton soup wasnât even in the menu on weekend. So I walked and asked her again to double check and her replied was â no wonton on weekend âŠsorry princesâ with rude tone of voice.
While I shouldâve confront her and ask what did she mean by calling me âPrincessâ But as I mention I was in hurry so I left,
I really found that was very unprofessional and unacceptable behavior especially ur a waiter in service industry or be better and just be kind to anyone.
For the manager of the restaurant probably could do better for training their staff.

This used to be the best Wonton Soup in Victoria... Now it is very disappointing! broth was bland, the only veggies were bok choy, the chicken was not fresh and tender, and... the wontons fell apart, the wrap totally fell off of all of them. Huge change and not for the good !

My friends and I have been dining at the Dakota every Sunday morning and the food is always good with service to match. Michelle and Jenny provide efficient, pleasant service. We also frequent the restaurant during the week only for coffee. The service is good (Jenny) and a coffee refill is always offered. Of all the restaurants in Sidney area I prefer the Dakota for its atmosphere and pleasant service.
