Such a lovely restaurant cafe! We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the food. Exceptional people. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Read good things about this place as being a hidden gem. Not sure if we encountered an off day or what, but there was no wait for a table and yet it took an hour and fifteen minutes to eat (seriously, we arrived at 12:20pm and our food didn’t arrive until 1:35pm). Weird service too - people who arrived and ordered after had their food brought earlier. One guy arrived a good 25 minutes after us, his food came, he ate and left before we were served. Our party was 2 adults and 3 kids and we ordered a sandwich, a salad, pancakes, and chicken fingers so again not sure what happened with the kitchen. Can’t recommend it, the food was mediocre and portion sizes small for the price, and tack on the wait and it was just an overall underwhelming experience.

Great place to eat in an airport setting we had great service even though it was hopping busy...I had heard great things about the won ton soup so we ordered a large chicken and a large sea food won ton ...was very disappointed in the broth ...it had no flavor was like sipping water the won ton wete great and the veg and sea food were good but maybe the were running out of broth so they watered it down i don't know but it was not great ...

I am not sure why people like this place. We went on a Sunday so brunch and lunch items but not a ton of choices. I had the wonto soup and club house. The wonton soup had a good flavour but it was barely warm and some of the wontons were actually cold in the Center. Not much you can say about a club house. My companion had one of the bowls with egg on top she rated it a 7 out of 20. The vegetables were good but there was no feta as advertised and the hash browns greasy. The big issue was the service. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food to arrive. For the soup that was on special to take 45 minutes and arrive cold … not good. Won’t be back

Well after watching check 6 news, I had to try out this best won ton soup they are ooozing about. I ordered a medium chicken wonton soup and my friend ordered the seafood wonton soup. I give them 100% on the wontons but the soup base not…tasted like water and no seasoning, the same with the seafood soup base. I will definitely be returning for their amazing onion rings

Very difficult to find. Not sure it's still there at the location in the north service road of the Victoria Airport.

There's no cafe like Dakota. Dakota's is a hidden gem in the north of the city. The wonton is totally rich Canadian-Cantonese mixed style and full of flavor, you can tell they care about the soup they use!!!!
But what makes it unforgettable is the view: as you sip your drink, you can watch planes taking off into the golden sunset. It’s peaceful, almost cinematic. The staff are warm and welcoming, the space is cozy, and the vibes are perfect. A must-visit if you want both amazing coffee and a beautiful moment.
I especially love their lattes made by the boss lady herself!!! The milk is steamed perfectly and the latte art always brings a smile. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly kind. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to slow down. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I love you Ryan, Jenny and Darcy!

I had one of Dakota’s signature meals, and ended up being extremely disappointed. This is how my meal was served, felt like I got 1/2 a meal. The fries felt like Costco fries, and the fried fish was most definitely out of a box. Disappointed to spend $14.95 on this one piece of fish and chips. This felt more like a kids portion sized meal. I’d be embarrassed to serve this to a guest. I will not be recommending nor will I be returning to this place. A true shame, for such a fun location.
