Deep Cove Chalet is a special place for our family, where we periodically gather to meet and celebrate great meals with a life-long friend. It is truly unique: a stunning setting with gardens on waterfront, delicious and creative food that’s masterfully executed, a deep wine list that’s accessibly priced, and outstanding, friendly service. There are so many excellent dishes on the menu but the hot avocado salad, laden with seafood, is a must, and the catch of the day always gets rave reviews. Leave room for a desert soufflé if you can. We’ve always walked away so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy this gem, easily our favourite restaurant in the province for upscale dining.

Beautiful spot, great setting for a high end restaurant. Appetizers were spot on, although my $55 steak ordered mid rare showed up mid well. Our server forgot our tables drinks 3 separate times. Once we reminded our server, drinks then took 20 minutes for them to arrive. Service was very slow, it was 3 and 1/2 hours from start to finish. Hopefully it was just a one off that night as I’ve heard great things about this restaurant. Our server was very knowledgeable about each item on both the drink and food menu. And for those who go as a group, they are unable to split the bill. One bill per table. Overall for the money we spent not a great experience.

Celebrated a birthday at the Deep Cove Chalet. We were seated in the patio garden, which was spectacular and we enjoyed fresh Halibut and Beef Wellington. A remarkable dinner at a truly special place. Everything was absolutely perfect.

I’d avoid it and head to the Fox and Monocle for fine dining in this area.
