I've never had anything but an excellent experiance at the Chalet. It is one of the best go-to spots for a true special occasion meal, in my opinion.
For the full experiance, I suggest trying one of their set meals. They are worth every penny, and might push you to try different dishes than if you ordered a la carte. For example, I recently tried rabbit here for the first time after consulting our server, and very much enjoyed it!
Dining at lunch when you have a view of the water is fantastic, though the candle-lir cosiness of their dinners is special in its own way.
A few favourites of mine are the lobster bisque, Chalet Salad, hot prawn and avocado, and the halibut. For drinks, you can't go wrong with a lemon drop!

The most amazing and delicious do ing experience I have ever had . The food was OUTSTANDING. The staff , were incredible! The restaurant was packed and the young lady who served our table was calm , polite and wonderful. The waiter who took out order answered any questions we had and we were very happy with our choices ! We can’t wait to come back

Excellent meal.
We got French onion soup, cheese soufle, smoked salmon blini, coq au vin, beef Wellington, the salmon, crème brûlée, and chocolate cake.
No notes except for the salmon. It was a tad overcooked. Potatoes tasted like salt more than potatoes.
Service was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed this meal with my two ladies ;)

We had our staff dinner here this past weekend for the holidays and it was absolutely incredible. The table was beautifully set, the food was unbelievable (as well as the wine). Our server Ben was so incredibly professional and attentive to our whole party’s needs. Truly an extraordinary dining experience for all of us in the most beautiful setting.

A charming rustic chalet-style restaurant on the ocean with views from each table and a patio for warmer nights. The food is French-inspired and while well presented was consistently overly salted which, in the end, tarnished our overall culinary experience. While our main server was pleasant and proactive, the younger woman assigned to our table was absent most of the time and lacked any effort to engage with us; no refilling or asking how was everything. Having grown up in Quebec and experienced true French hospitality and impeccable cuisine, Deep Cove Chalet lacks finesse and the required service that comes with this style of restaurant and price-point.

Deep Cove Chalet is a special place for our family, where we periodically gather to meet and celebrate great meals with a life-long friend. It is truly unique: a stunning setting with gardens on waterfront, delicious and creative food that’s masterfully executed, a deep wine list that’s accessibly priced, and outstanding, friendly service. There are so many excellent dishes on the menu but the hot avocado salad, laden with seafood, is a must, and the catch of the day always gets rave reviews. Leave room for a desert soufflé if you can. We’ve always walked away so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy this gem, easily our favourite restaurant in the province for upscale dining.
