This used to be a good restaurant but is terrible now. Totally serve yourself, staff wearing a winter coat!! And the food was awful, and wasn't ready all together. Potatoes were gross and the cinnamon bun had no cinnamon, Why anyone would want to eat here is beyond me. Prices high for no service, bad food.
Used to be our go to for treats. Stopped by after a hiatus and everything has changed and quality has gone way down. Used to be one of the top carrot cakes ever, not anymore.
When we arrived and picked up our menus, they were brunch menus. We waited in line to order and got to the front of the line to order just at 11:00. We were told it was now lunch time.
We went to the Five and Dime instead.

Roost Farm Winery, Bakery, and Bistro offers a mix of experiences for its customers. The bakery stands out, with delicious and reasonably priced pastries and pies, including the popular peach pie, ham and cheese croissant, and samosas. The food is excellent and very tasty, with good options like the smoked salmon benny. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and a pleasant atmosphere.
The bistro side has a unique self-service concept where you place your order and then sit at your table, but you serve yourself everything else. This casual atmosphere works well. Service is very friendly and quick, though the ordering system can be confusing. The establishment is also noted for its wheelchair accessibility, with a ramp and a wheelchair-accessible washroom available.
Overall, Roost Farm Winery, Bakery, and Bistro is recommended for those looking for a great meal and to grab baked goods to go. It also offers an impressive selection of takeaway items, from fresh pastries and pieces of pie to local balsamic vinegars, wines, and other specialty products.
