“The food here was absolutely spectacular. Probably the best Iranian food I've ever had.

The eggplant dip (kashk bademjan) was without a doubt the best iteration of the dish I've eaten in my life - it was an incredible start, and my family members who were totally unfamiliar with Iranian food were blown away. The tanoor bread was fresh and delicious, and a perfect accompaniment to the dip.

The grilled meats were all delicious, but the sour filet kebab was the absolute knockout winner. Everyone at the table loved it. Sweet, sour, savory, and beyond tasty.

The ghormeh sabzi was rich and homey, with tender meat in a fragrant herby sauce.

I would go back here in a heartbeat. I would come back to North Van explicitly for this restaurant.“

“I ate at Zarak last night for the first time and I was blown away. Every Single Dish was spectacular!!! The portions were generous, the flavours are like nothing I have ever experienced and the cocktails... Run don't Walk to Zarak. Special mention: The service was great. The food…delicious, the atmosphere… unique & cozy, the service… we are always treated like family and we were honoured to be included in their 50th Anniversary celebration this year. “Good little spot for this type of food. I've been going here for years and its great that this spot is still open and thriving. Prices have gone up a bit, but the food itself has always been delicious - especially the white garlic sauce. The dishes that I would recommend are the mixed meats platter over rice, or the order of fries with chicken and garlic sauce drizzled on top. You can't go wrong with either one. The meats are always juicy and tender, and all of the flavors from the sauces mix together very well with the rest of the dish.“

“The decoration is 5 stars the food is ok they have afew options not much.i was there for iftra with my family once the food finished then its done and you have to wait for at least 30 mins till the refill it . We didn’t get chance to try the dessert because there is a small portion like 10 small serving of fermi once it finished they didn’t replace so you have to be careful with dessert. Unless if you want to pay extra for bakery and buy to eat with your tea . Also it was Ramadan every thing is limited ,tea, manto, rice over all for afghans buffet is not bad . It’s was much better if they cook enough and have afew servers“
