My best croissant in Canada! So delicious. ❤️❤️
The best sourdough bread in town 🤌🍞 🔥.
10/10.
Bad Dog Bread always has the smell of fresh loaves greeting you at the door. The space is simple and welcoming, with a steady stream of regulars who clearly know they’ve found something good.
The bread is the real draw here, naturally leavened and crusty. Their pastries and baked goods rotate, and there’s often something new worth trying alongside the staples. Coffee is solid, and the service is friendly, even when it’s busy (and it often is). There’s not a lot of seating, but if you can snag a spot outside, it’s a nice place to pause for a moment.
The owners have roots in fine dining, and you can tell, it’s thoughtful and run with care.
Went into the shop close to the end of the day and they were unfortunately low on stock… no problem… understandable. However, the lady working the till was so rude to us. Kind of rolled her eyes at us, told us “we didn’t get the memo” after we asked if there were any loafs left? I feel like that’s a valid question for Bad Dog BREAD, no?!?
Great bread, really enjoyed the jalepeno brioche.
Excellent place!
Hole in the wall bakery, had great looking bread. We got some treats, I liked them alot.
LOL! This place is the bread equivalent of Seinfeld’s Season 7, Episode 6 — IYKYK. Incredible breads and baked goods BUT stand quietly in line, close the door(!!), and don’t ask questions!
Best bread in Vancouver. I wrote a letter to the New York Times food section about this bread!!! I know when it’s delivered to Deep Cove and if I don’t get there soon after, it’s gone! I get two baguettes and always have one in my freezer 🥖
The triple ginger cookie is to die for!!

Sourdough is perfect, lots of variations and a large portion. Too many treats to count, the salted chocolate chip cookie is fantastic.

Everything was good but not stand in line for while good, the croissant texture is great, but lack taste, the baguette was mid, the cinnamon bun and sourdough loaf where the highlight.

I am reflecting on my experience with a product purchased at a Farmer's Market.
The quality of their bread does not meet expectations. I purchased a brioche loaf, only to find that the crust was excessively burnt, compromising the entire loaf. Brioche is my preferred type of bread, and I have both baked it myself and sampled it from numerous bakeries, yet I have never encountered such a misrepresentation. Although the market featured a clear display of the bread, the attendant assured me it was "perfectly toasted on the outside." I anticipated a unique variation, but instead, I was left with a burnt product for which I paid full price. When I inquired about the bread's condition, I was told it was not burnt. While the interior of the loaf was light and fluffy, it was overshadowed by the blatant disregard of the exterior, which made the inside barely edible.
I don't know if the burnt outside is the culprit or if this is just the bakery, but this was incredibly messy to deal with as well when cutting and left piles of crumbs and unusable slices.
