Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

I have been meaning to write this location a review for a couple months... and after a visit last night i knew i had to hop on and get it done!
This is the best DQ location around! I have three kids and we seem to be regulars now, haha. Between an evening ice cream, or my kids love of their chicken strips, this is our fave new spot/location.
The food is always hot, and made to order. The location is very clean and well taken care of. But most of all... THE STAFF ARE SOOOOOOOO SWEET!!!!!
I cannot say enough, always smiling, always up for a little chat or laugh.
Even when my son would go with his friends they come home and say how nice the staff are. Teenagers don't always have the best experiences in my experience, so for these boys to always being saying how nice the staff are shows me they are this kind to EVERYONE!

Lastly... last night was the crazy power outages and wind storm that shut down half of north van. This poor location kept power and must have been the busiest place on the whole north shore hahah... two young ladies working it together and they did such a great job. You could see the leaves everywhere inside the restaurants from the door imply opening, the wind was so wild. They kept it together with a smile on their faces. I hope they are both recognized for their excellent job, under such a stressful situation!

Incredibly rude staff after they took down my order wrong and I tried to ask for them to look it over. The lady asked me if I wanted to add fries and drink to my order and where it says on the sign to add a drink for 1.49$, she defaults to large cause that’s apparently what she asked and charges me full price 3.99$. I explain every time they ask if I want a drink they just give me the regular one and she probably should have made it clear I was paying full price for upgrade instead of an upgraded price for the large like 2.29 or something. And I just asked nicely for to adjust that to be compensated w another dip and she was incredibly condescending and rude. I always try to be respectful to shift workers and fast food workers and she was still so rude for no reason. I come here often and will not be going to a dq again for a long long time. She was the much larger one.

This has to be the best DQ location I’ve ever visited, bar none. The staff are kind, the food portions are generous, and the cook quality on the chicken strips & burgers is impeccable. Kind of a best-kept secret really. For fast food, I am suitably impressed.

Clean, modern ambience. Staff were courteous; service wasn't very fast though even though it was quiet but not a big deal for us. Would come back!

Kid-friendliness: Nothing fancy for kids here but a fine place to bring them for a quick bite

Placed an Uber eats order to my work instead of where I was (my bad) but cancelled it IMMEDIATELY, like 3 seconds after placing it so I could reorder to the right address.

Called Uber but they couldn't refund me because this location REFUSED to admit they hadn't actually started the order in 3 seconds. They would not let Uber refund me and LIED to keep my money. Now Uber needs to start an investigation so they can force a refund and penalize the location but who knows how long that will take. They didn't just claim that they started the order but that it was finished and I could pick it up! 3 seconds! I think not!

Uber told me I had to call them to try and get them to allow the refund but this location seems to think they don't ever talk to the Uber customers and that I can only go through Uber, sorry but that's not true.

This location didn't have time to even take the paddy out of the tray before I cancelled but they are totally willing to steal $50 from me without blinking an eye!

I would accept them keeping $5 for the cost of the paddy they claim to have already started but the whole $50 order with margins and all? Disgusting business practices. I'll never eat DQ again.

We stopped by here after a walk for some dessert after dinner. It’s about a 15 minute walk from our house which is dangerous.

It’s a small location with about 4 tables but perfect for takeout or a snack. Also love their ice cream cakes!

We ordered 2 medium chocolate dipped cones. They really hit the spot as it was warm (low 20s) that day. My cone was quite filing and I probably would have enjoyed the small just as much. The chocolate and soft serve ice cream went really well together and I’d come back here for a blizzard as I love those as well!

Parking: Free street parking in the rear parking lot or some free street parking in front.

The owners have the employees making the stingiest blizzards with little to no toppings. After 5 times going to this location I will drive to another dq. Absolute horrible excuse for a blizzard. Your eating milky ice cream cause they care about every dime in profits

I had a great experience at the North Vancouver Dairy Queen branch on Marine Drive. Especially noteworthy was Rajni, who was very welcoming and positive. She accommodated all of my food customizations with care and went above and beyond by providing me with everything I requested. I will definitely visit this branch again soon!

Absolutely love this place! came here for a late night snack with my daughter and partner, had a wonderful experience. All the staff members were so friendly, from the moment we walked in. Prabhjot made sure we had everything we needed & she was so kind to us.
