“Got the pulled pork benny, but the pulled pork said to be "house made bbq pulled pork" just tasted like it was seasoned with nothing more than salt, and the english muffins were rather stale. On the bright side, the buttermilk pancakes I had a bite of were heavenly, with a soft, buttery, and rich taste—definitely recommended.“

“I didn’t expect it to be so delicious before ordering! The noodles pulled by the boss himself are so fragrant. It should be Qinjiao. It is quite enjoyable to eat. It must be biangbiang noodles. The boss also gave sesame sauce and cold skin. The noodles are also fragrant. Happy hehe, Qin people gather.“

“Argo Burger topped with bacon, cheese, fried onions and egg is served alongside a mound of fries. Delicious, whether eaten hot or cold. Fried chicken burger is one of the best in town. Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. Creamy Chicken chili con queso and heaping plateful of Spicy lamb on their respective beds of rice were stick-to-your-bones good. Then there's the home-baked pie and the OMG butter tart! If you're searching for comfort food with a serving of easy hospitality, this old-school Mount Pleasant diner is where you'll find it. #EastVanLoveRules“

“If you're tired of overpriced pretentious restaurants in Vancouver, and want some old school comfort food served by experienced attentive staff, you must try this Vancouver landmark. First time I've been here in 50 years and it will not be the last. The sole waitress was also the hostess, cashier, busser, and coffee refiller. The owner cooked, served and cashier. With restaurants dropping like flies in Vancouver due to high cost and labour shortage, it's amazing to see how efficiently this old school diner is run to keep labour cost and menu prices down.“

“To me it's a breakfast place and a popular one but they serve more that that, there's chinese specials and burgers on the menu too. The decor isn't much to write home about but it's clean, The owner will greet you with a friendly hello and you can even get a refill on your coffee, most of the time you never have to ask. I've never been disappointed ever and I've been going there many years.“

“The staff at the basic are incredible! I was having a really rough day, and ordered for pickup. On the phone I asked the women for an order of sanity at the end. She laughed said “oh I’ll try” Not expecting anything but a laugh. I went to pick up the food and was pleasantly surprised to find some “sanity” in my order. It honestly made my day.“

“The shrimp rice rolls is recommended.
There were other comments saying that the soy sauce was bland, but it's not it's normal salty soy.
Lots of condiments for your congee, rice rolls or noodles.“
