I was nearby for a surprise engagement, and I was so moved by the warm and welcoming energy of the staff here. They have such a cool set up and are also available for a private bookings, which is awesome. Thereβs a classic Photo Booth inside as well! I had their mango funk slushy, and it was so refreshing and delicious. 10/10 canβt wait to visit again with my friends!
Beer was good, 2000βs club bangers were not. Dating in your 30s hard but Iβm still optimistic.
Well they took the funk right out of the place along with the name. Seems like the heart and soul are gone. I brought a visiting friend here recently as House of Funk was one of our favorites in N. Vancouver. But... The sour my friend ordered wasn't even a sour but rather a juice mixer and it was undrinkable. None of us finished our other beers. The new TVs are an unwelcome distraction and addition. If I wanted a sports bar with a small selection of low-quality beer I would have gone elsewhere.
2025 update:
This is one house fire I hope the fire department lets burn to the ground. RIP House of Funk.
2021 Review
Easily been in my top three BC breweries since they opened. Love love love this place and the amazing beers they brew.
Eclectic, great atmosphere. A tap list for beer lovers!
It's like if AJ's became a Boston Pizza. π₯
Took down the pride flag and replaced it with sports TVs, beer is way worse, and no more dumplings :(
Definitely earned the name House of Funk! They had a cherry beer βMaeve Foeder Aged Golden Sourβ that was top notch from their reserve beer cellar list. I think I payed $50 but it was absolutely amazing. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. This place has a chill vibe. The beer list was large and carried a good selection of styles for onsite and to-go options. They have good coffee according to friends. Overall this is a great place to come relax do some work and enjoy a delicious beer.
great vibe
Disappointing selection of beers and their kitchen broke during peak dinner hour. The cuke lager literally tastes like beer mixed with pickle juice, and not in a good way. Much better options in the area, such a shame as House of Funk was great.

Bring back the funk :(
Rebranded as a special Sports Dive bar and yummy bites. Simple, smooth Lager.
Nice spot!! Cool interior, good service and delicious beers. This brewery is unique, they also roast their own coffee. Love the vibe
Washingtonian approved! Excellent brews with a punch a funk you don't typically find!
