What happened to this place? It used to be so good and a hidden gem.

$18 for a chicken sandwich I could have made better at home buying a baguette from the grocery store and roasted chicken.

As someone who works long days in Edgemont Village, finding food that is actually fresh, healthy, and consistent every single time is not easy. La Galleria has honestly become my go-to place for lunch over the years.

Their soups are amazing — especially the mushroom soup — and everything always tastes fresh and homemade. The salads are fresh, the sandwiches are made with quality ingredients, crisp lettuce, good meat, and the baguettes are honestly some of the best I’ve had.

What I also appreciate is that the pricing is actually very reasonable for the quality. In a village where many places charge the same (or more) for much lower quality food, La Galleria really stands out.

Very grateful to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

I’ve been a customer here for about 5 years, and they consistently have some of the best sandwiches in the village. Their soups are always fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. The quality has always been excellent.

Honestly, it’s the only place in Edgemont Village where I feel comfortable getting healthy food on a regular basis, with good nutrition and quality ingredients.

I’m also surprised when people say it’s expensive. Almost all cafés in the village charge the same—or even more—for sandwiches and snacks that are nowhere near this level of quality.

If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend it.

My husband had talked about these sandwiches for so long and I was not disappointed. So yummy! Can't wait to come back for another!!

Very very disappointed !!!
I haven’t been for awhile because I don’t live here but what a disappointment.
$17 for a Boccachini sandwich. Bread was tasteless . There was 6 pieces of boccachini, couple pieces of soggy lettuce and a couple pieces of tasteless tomato. Next to no filling. No pesto mayo as advertised, just plain mayo.
On top of that the server was coughing and making the sandwiches at the same time.
No mask!
Fo not waste your money here.

These are the best sandwiches on the North shore hands down!! I get a chicken sandwich anytime I’m in the neighbourhood and enjoy every bit of it. The bread is always delicious and fresh! These are the sandwiches served in heaven.

Cmon, you guys cannot charge $20+ for a “specialty sandwich” and put A SINGLE slice of deli meat in it. That sandwich was criminal!

It had been some time since I had come in to this place for a sandwich. Not sure if is under new ownership but definitely a lot smaller portions then I remember. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and was disappointed to find only one slice of safeway style deli beef in the baguettes. Not worth the 18 bucks they charge. Better options out there

I am a first time customer, and I am so impressed with how pleasant my experience was with their team. They hit a home run with the recommendation for the roast beef sandwich. The bread, sauce and meat was in great proportion, with every bite being so moist and flavourful. Highly recommend for supporting a longstanding local North Shore family business!

I had the roast chicken which was recommended to me and while it was good, the lack of filling was disappointing given the price which was almost $20 with tax. Wish there was a little more to it than there was.

Best sandwiches ever. Please never close down.

Amazing sandwich

My co-workers were raving about this place all morning so I decided why not try it for lunch. I opted to go with the Surprise Me! option and they did not disappoint. This was hands down ones of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had! Thank you for the delightful surprise and looking forward to having this as a staple in my rotation of favourite lunch spots in Edgemount!
