We are walking distance from this beautiful quiet golf course.
Recently another fantastic Resturant owner/system took over the Resturant and boy they are fantastic in every way.
Food is simple,but great 👍🏼
Service is very good the view to the golf course, the entire setup is AAA+!
I’m not sure if it’s smart to leave a review ,since I want it to stay that way 😉
Out server Danae is so nice and helpful.
I was with (2x)of my friends who had birthday and she magically get us long after the kitchen was completely closed ,
sometimes to be able to use as cakes and celebrate our friends birthdays .
Thank you so very much Danae!

We've been living in the area for nearly 5 years but somehow it's the first time we've been here. We recently heard the team behind Arms Reach took over the restaurant of the golf course so we decided to try it for brunch.

We had the smoked ham benedict- delicious! Served with potato bits. Could've used a little salad would be my point of improvement.

We also tried the chicken wings, tasty but on the pricier side.

And we also had the chicken club sandwich with fries. Really good. Fries were outstanding.

Good service, great patio overlooking the golf course. We found the prices quite reasonable for the quality and setting. We will be back!

We really enjoyed Breakfast with Santa at Northlands recently. It was buffet style with eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, chocolate chip pancakes, juice, coffee and a large selection of desserts including festive cupcakes, cookies and cake. The chocolate cake was my favourite!! I ate way too much and was completely stuffed by the end…lol. The view up there is always beautiful, lots of free parking and well worth the drive. We were really lucky that it didn’t rain that day. Service was good too. It was surprisingly cost effective too at $28.50 per person for adults. That’s incredible value for the Lower Mainland. Plus we got to meet the big guy himself Santa and he posed for pics with families and gave toys to the young kids. I understand that the management (and concept?) is changing in the New Year and I hope the new people continue this great tradition.

Ugh. Food was passable, service slow and bathrooms looked like a rugby team had been in there for an hour after weekend bender.

Update September 2024: Another wonderful meal and excellent friendly service, by Melissa and Joanne, while also managing a wedding reception! So yes, the wait was a little longer, and still well worth it for the food, location and atmosphere.

And I actually remembered to take photos this time - a snippet of the beautiful view, the fireplace inside and our meals tonight - Chicken Red Thai Curry, Salmon Burger and Lamb Shanks.

Thanks again and see you soon!

August 2024: This is a long overdue review - we are not golfers but live in the neighbourhood and Northlands Bar and Grill has been a favourite for many years.

The view and atmosphere is extraordinary, the food is delicious, and service is wonderful. I need to give special thanks to Melissa and Joanne - they are so friendly and always take great care of us! Even at the end of a long day - service with big smiles and helpful suggestions!

My favourite dish is the Prawn and Scallop Risotto - I was sooo disappointed to see that this is no longer on the menu - PLEASE bring it back! The Lamb Shanks are also delicious - a couple of us enjoyed those this evening while another family member enjoyed the Salmon Burger. Also recommend the Chicken Red Thai Curry. But I need the Prawn and Scallop Risotto back PLEASE!!

All in all, it's as good as it gets for golf course pubs. I've never had better... Never had worse, the few I have tried are copies. Not a huge beer selection but a couple local crafts and they sell jugs! Food value is decent, $18 to 20 gets you good choices and enough to fill you, they don't chince on burger thickness(so common now to get paper thin patties). I had calamari and that was quite good. Menus were slow in coming but the server came with beer quite fast and seems if you knew what food you wanted, you were golden! She posted those people's orders the second they asked! So, no server complaint, a quirk for newbies only. View is over a fairway and a generally pleasant find, Go there!

Lovely patio overlooking the course. Salmon burger was tasty and not overcooked (it was a fillet of salmon and not a pre-made patty) and garnished with fresh vegetables. The clubhouse was also very good using a well seasoned whole fillet of chicken breast & bacon slices. The beer was cold, and service was excellent despite being very busy on a weekend afternoon. I liked the option of having the choice of different sides (side salad, onion rings, fries, or Caesar salad) and if you can’t decide, then choose 1/2 & 1/2 sides like we did!

What a beautiful location to have lunch! That said, the view is the best part. This place is severely mismanaged. I don't want to blame the staff because that is unfair, but they and the guests deserve better. The chairs on the patio have no padding and believe me they need one I had to bring my own blanket~ hahah, My family and I ordered NACHOS and they took about 40 minutes because the kitchen burned them twice. We actually could not stop laughing. We also had to track down our own beer, the service was not great for having so few people. Northlands you can do better, it is not that hard to pull together a simple menu and not F it u and. make everyone happy. How about making the BEST nachos in town, even a child can pull that off. There is so much potential here with that gorgeous location. What a shame. We hadn't been there in seven years and won't be back. SAVE your money unless you just want a beer or maybe you have to bring that as well!! ;0
