Tamarind Hill Reviews
I am a foodie and this restaurant is currently my favorite place to eat. Bar none, the Laksa is the best I have ever had and all of the dishes are so consistently delicious. Portions are generous and price is affordable. The family that owns this year seems very nice. Plus, I love eating at local and independently owned restaurants!
We ordered food from here and was delivered. The food is amazing all 4 of us enjoyed it so much. Best food i have had delivered and the spices were just right. not to spicy and not under spicy. I recommend ordering from here.
Tasty dishes that never disappoint. This is my all time favourite Malaysian food in the whole GVRD. We have been eating here for more than 10 years.
Their flavours never fail. The highest compliment I can ever give a restaurant is that every time I eat hear it’s the same delicious flavours!
My favourites:
Sayur Lemak
Green Bean with Okra
Eggplant
Luksa
Noodle dishes are yummy too!
My kids adore the Roti!
Always a winning experience.

Tamarind Hill is a restaurant serving a variety of Malaysian dishes. The food is praised for its quality, with highlights including the rich and balanced Laksa broth, tender and flavorful satay skewers, and the delicious Ipoh char hor fun, char kuey teow, tofu goreng, and mee goreng. The interior is cozy and comfortable, adorned with charming Middle Eastern hanging lamps and unique restroom signs. Many customers enjoy the friendly owner, who is very attentive and knowledgeable about vegan options, and appreciate the welcoming atmosphere. The char kuey teow is considered one of the best, bringing a taste of South East Asia, while the classic fried rice is flavorful and generously loaded with meat and other ingredients. Several reviews mention the restaurant as a favorite spot for Malaysian food in Vancouver, with one customer noting that their mother asked to visit for her favorite dishes, including Laksa and Hainanese chicken. Despite some opinions about prices being high or service feeling rushed during closing hours, the overall experience remains memorable. Tamarind Hill continues to be a go-to place for flavorful Malaysian dishes, with many customers planning to return.
