Staff were great!I feel like the portion of the food were less compared to other captain’s boil (richmond and kingsway) all in all food was good and we enjoyed our dinner.

It was pretty good. Classic sea food. A bit on the expensive side.

We had a fantastic meal with excellent service! Great group activity. We chose the Captain's boil, which comfortably served all 7 of us.Kid-friendliness: It's a casual environment with paper tablecloths. They provide crayons for fun before the food arrives.

We paid an excessively high price but what a great adventure in the Cajun kingdom. Corn, crayfish, crabs, shrimp and potatoes were able to satisfy us.

My husband and I were so excited to try this place, however; We were so disappointed when the food arrived! The quantities were so little even though we paid around $150 and were still hungry after dinner!! We went to fresh slice and had a slice of pizza each afterwards! Overrated and overpriced! Don’t waste your money!

It was very delicious for the price. It seems to be even more delicious if you mix the garlic sauce with fried rice.

went here for a friends birthday dinner and we were all pretty taken a back by something a server did.the staff made a mistake on their end and put an extra order of garlic bread and one other basket of shrimp on our table, we started eating it because we were a big group so not everyone knew what exactly was ordered— 10 minutes later she came back to the table told us they gave us an extra order and *she took it back half eaten items and threw them away* instead of letting us finish them like no harm no fowl.Ive worked in restaurants for years and been to many as a guest i’ve never experienced a staff taking food back, when it was *their* mistake that we got it unless there was a chance the food could be used for a different table. in this case there was not and she actually chose to throw the food into the garbage, wasting it instead of letting us finish it.This was so bizzare to me and the rest of my friends—it’s extremely bad server etiquette and it’s a waste of food that we would have eaten. I’m just not sure what the point is to take it away.. the food could not have been reused so taking it back just seemed kind of rude again because it was the STAFFS error not ours. —we did not trick them into giving it to us.The food was good but we all agreed that it was extremely weird and bad form to do this. Makes the restaurant look bad to be honest.

I was looking forward to having myself a hearty meal of seafood at “The captain’s boil” cause I heard a lot of good things about it. Then, I went there with a friend. The members of the staff were kind, prepared and professional. Unfortunately, the food deserved a solid 0/5: both the quality and the quality of the courses sure didn’t match the definitely-not-so-cheap price. Not to mention the unpleasant aftermath that we had been through the morning after.Overall opinion: we experienced on our very own skin the meaning of “expectation gap”.Totally not recommend.

I don’t like doing bad reviews on places but this one was honestly a horrible experience, the server was nice and helpful but the real problem was the food! I ordered 1 bag of mussels and a crab to share with a friend, and there was literally no meat in 80% of the bag…only shells?Me and my friend got a tummy ache later on. We literally paid 100CAD in total for nothing.

Ordered 9 lbs of shrimp take out(for staff's party), all the shrimp was not fresh(like boiled potato texture) cant even chew the meat and one of the staff got 2 times diarrhea after having food. Called back to let the restaurant know they ended up saying if we order next time, they will give a discount. I said I would not take a risk to order anymore (it was $208 after tax for 9lbs of shrimp). The server was saying, "So why did you call?" Worse restaurant ever, no responsibility for taking care of customers (robson location)

Best experience of devouring shellfish. A bit pricey though but unique experience

Best Seafood Boil that I ate in a while, located downtown loaded with jumbo shrimp, crab, andouille sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob that’s simmered in flavorful cajun spices and aromatics. All that hearty goodness gets drowned and smothered in an epic garlic butter sauce that I can eat and get messy with my hands no table etiquette needed
