The all around best bakery. The BEST doughnuts this side of of Mississippi. We live in GrandForks and go thru Oliver to Kelowna just for Big Als. Little longer drive but worth the gas

Big Al's Bakery & Deli is the best place to eat in the South Okanagan, hands down. The beef dip is absolutely fantastic and exactly what one could dream of. The food is great, with so much choice available. The bakery is known for its amazing doughnuts, described as the best this side of the Mississippi. Despite some negative vibes experienced from the staff, the pineapple fritters are a life-changing experience and the best doughnuts you'll ever have. The sausage rolls and apple fritters are favorites among customers, and there is a special deep-fried sweet treat drizzled with chocolate that is also highly praised. The welcoming smiles and heavenly aroma make it a must-visit spot. Customers appreciate the ability to place orders by phone for quick pickups. Big Al's caters to a local clientele and has a coffee/bakery vibe, offering loads of nice folks. Don't miss out on this gem for some delicious food and delightful treats!
