We had a lovely wine tasting at Le Vieux Pin. This winery has some of the most exceptional wines in the South Okanagan. The tasting room is small but welcoming. If you’re there on a warm day grab a table outside.

If you like French-style wine this is the place for you. It’s reservation only and they said they may not do wine tastings next year due to limited stock. Wine tastings are $10 nonrefundable. They were hit hard by the weather and so the yield is very low, this means go before the year ends as this may be the last year they do wine tastings, they’ll be reserving their bottles for wine club members only. Whites start at about $31 and reds start at about $37.

A smaller winery than most in the area but that’s what makes it unique and a must visit.

We were greeted by Al who walked us through some of their wines. I was extremely impressed with their Bordeaux blend which had some unique flavours compared to normal ones. If you’re going to visit here though, make sure to book a tasting early as the wine tasting room is small and can only accommodate a small number of guests!

Lovely French wines. Was recommended when visiting La Stella as this is their sister winery. Al did our tasting and is an absolute gem. Looking forward to trying more wines from here in the club shipments :)

Some of the best wine we've tasted in the Okanagan. It's a true french style wine and something we've been looking for here for a long time!

Vineyard where you must book in advance, but which is well worth it. Marie-Pier took the time to explain to me the history of the vineyard, the philosophy behind the wines: wines that respect the land and the climate of the region. Wines with the style of the Old World (Burgundy) but with local character

My Dad and I visited this lovely vineyard in August 2023 and despite the wine being extremely good and everyone working there being moderately pleasant (as pleasant as any French person really can be), there was one lady there who was quite unpleasant and suprisingly rude right from the get go. I think she said something like "are there any wine's in particular that you're looking for today" to which I replied "actually yes, a friend of mine said that you guy's make excellent Chardonnays" to which she replied "well then your friend is someone who is clearly not familiar with our wines, we only have one really good Chardonnay". I know what you're thinking..."who running a business would respond to a compliment from a potential customer in that manner?"...and you woud be correct. I would like to chaulk it up to it being run of the mill French snobbery but I think this goes beyond that. This woman is not someone who should be working in a customer facing service industry. That said, the other two people working there, a man and a women, were moderately pleasant/not rude so my sentiment towards them is neutral but interacting with the other woman was painful at best. Because I love the wine I will be back but I'll be sure to keep my interactions brief and conversation to an absolute minimum. Stay tuned for more reviews of my future visits to Le Vieux Pin :)

Some of the best wine in the Okanagan. Hands down our favorite winery. The service is usually friendly. Their property, though nice, isn't super exciting, but the wine makes up for that, and if you want good views WITH almost as good of wine, try their sister winery La Stella.

What wine tasting should be…Our experience here and at La Stella was like no other. They are simply a cut above the rest.!Alex was amazing and gave us a private tour of their beautiful vineyard and made us sample a variety of some delicious wines. We could not fly home with our purchases so had them shipped to our home. So happy that we will be enjoying some of the best wines from the Okanagan valley in the comfort of our home. If you are planning a wine tour in the Okanagan valley, make these two wineries a priority, you will not be disappointed. You must call to book your tasting so don’t miss out on visiting these gems in Osoyoos.

Our wine tasting took place in the large room where the huge fermentation tanks sat. Alex was an incredible wealth of knowledge about the wines we tasted and the production and operation of the winery. We so enjoyed his passion for the wine and the terroir. This winery was the highlight of a year! You must make a reservation to taste at this winery!

Seen on TV: 500L of water to produce 1L of wine! Let's keep wasting primary ressources to produce useless ones for the sake of making money! ^_^
