Came up here on the Canada long weekend and enjoyed a concert with some tasty food and thirst quenching wine. They had a local musician do a set who was really good and they sold their wine and some charcuterie boxes. Because it was so hot we had some of their refreshing Harvest Rose, which really hit the spot! The charcuterie box had some nice meats & cheeses, fresh local cherries, some olives and a nice jelly to spread on the crispy crackers. It was delicious and a great way to spend the afternoon!

My friends and I tried coming here for a tasting.Unfortunately, they discourage "Splashers and Dashers" and I believe the price we were quoted was $25 or $40 per person. We declined, but were allowed to go downstairs to check out the wine cellar area which was cool.Plus, it's a castle. That's just cool.I never tried their wine, but every business is free to export wine as they please. Although us "Splasher and Dasher" folk are discouraged from coming here, I can respect they are aiming for a specific atmosphere.

An amazing location with great views. Their specialty is red wine, especially the John Oliver collection. Love the mediaeval look of the production facility. There is lots of outdoor seating here as well.

Road 13 Vineyards is not your typical winery. It's a family-owned operation that focuses on expressing the terroir of the Okanagan Valley, a region that has been producing wine for over a century. The winery is located on a strip of land that runs along the western slope of the valley and has a unique microclimate and soil composition. The winery grows mostly Rhone varieties, such as Syrah, Grenache, Roussanne and Marsanne, as well as some old-vine Chenin Blanc that dates back to the 1960s.I have visited Road 13 Vineyards on several occasions in the last 7 years. On a sunny and extremely hot afternoon in August, and was greeted by the friendly staff. We were offered a tasting of four wines, each representing a different aspect of the winery's philosophy and style. ($22 per tasting fyi) There are deals for groups. The first wine was the 2019 Honest John's White, a blend of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay and Viognier. It was a refreshing and aromatic wine, with notes of citrus, peach, lychee and ginger. It had a crisp acidity and a slight sweetness that balanced well with the spicy and floral flavors. It was a perfect wine for a hot day, or to pair with Asian cuisine and that is saying a lot for me since I mainly dislike Chardonnay and Riesling due to the fruit forward aspects. The second wine was the 2018 I forgot the name, a blend of two white Rhone grapes that are rarely seen in Canada. It was a rich and complex wine, with aromas of honey, apricot, almond, and white flowers. It had a full body and a creamy texture, with flavors of ripe stone fruits, nuts, and herbs. It had a long and elegant finish, with hints of minerality and spice. It was a wine that could age well or be enjoyed now with roasted chicken or creamy cheeses like cambozola. The third wine was the 2019 Syrah Malbec, a blend of two red grapes that are known for their intensity and color. It was a dark and powerful wine, with aromas of blackberry, plum, pepper, and smoke. It had a full body and firm tannins, with flavors of dark fruits, licorice, and tobacco. It had a long and rich finish, with notes of leather and earth. It was a wine that could stand up to any meat dish, or be savored on its own.The fourth and final wine was Seventy-Four I believe. It was a dry and elegant red wine, with notes of cassis, and mint woven through a matrix of soft, silky tannins in a medium frame. The overall impression is of a seductive wine that is carefully crafted to drink well now and for the next few years.I have and continue to be impressed by the quality and diversity of the wines at Road 13 Vineyards. I would recommend anyone who wants to taste the very best that Canadian wines have to offer. Of course, your tastes may differ, but I always visit Road 13 when I tour the vineyard in Ossossys, and you should too.

This was our first time in years coming back here and we had heard great things about the new ownership. Very disappointing experience, for starters I’m not sure the tasting experience was worth the $40 unwaived fee for 4 reds…. Not to mention our taster hounded us about membership the entire time and didn’t seem to know much about the wine. If I’m paying $40, I do expect an actual experience.

Dudley made us feel so special at our tasting. Road13 is the most genuine, generous and delicious winery in the Okanagan! 100% suggest, and join the wine club! And get the charcuterie board! Bring back Blind Creek Collective Consensus.

Love this vineyard and their wines. Not so much the $27 a head for wine tasting. Should be waved against a minimum purchase or something. Several decent wineries in the area still waving the tasting fee against a purchase

Best wine tasting experience we had in the valley. Thank you so much for the amazing memories. Will be back!!!

Spend your time and money at a different winery$27 for a drawn out wine tasting over 45 minutes of 4 or even 5 with a welcome drink is out of line with other valley wineries. Use this money to visit others, charging only $5-$10 for a tasting, commonly of five to six wines. My wife and I went to the door and when seeing a sign for $27 for four wine tasting, promptly left, despite an intent to revisit Road 13 which we have done several times before. This winery is part of a large Von Mandl corporation, owner of also Mission Hill and three additional wineries. Having visited and wine toured the Okanagan for more than 15 years, non-refundable fees have recently become a necessary operations fee. Yet some still charge nothing, or provide a tasting fee refund towards purchase. There are so many excellent wineries, new ones, or family operated vineyards producing quality wine that you should consider seeking greater tasting opportunities elsewhere.

(From a members perspective) I must say I really enjoyed road 13 after a disappointing experience from another nearby winery. Prior to this I was not a member. When we arrived at the front door we were greeted by staff with fresh sparkling Chenin. I don't like sparkling but this was very good. We were then brought outside where we started our tasting. The staff were amazingly attentive and open to conversation and feed back. Shortly after our tasting my in-laws and my wife decided to become members. Recently, we came to pick up our first wine order and attended an event along with it. The food and drinks along with the tour was fantastic. With all honesty the wine and the staff are amazing and of course I will be coming back now that i have a membership. Now for the reason for the loss of a star. The only issue I have here is the tasting price and cost. I say this as a person who lives nearby that when I have extended family and friends come to town, I would be reluctant to bring them. The reason is simply that if my party does not buy any wine while there, sure a place can't be handing out free samples all day without some sort of cost to recoup. On the other hand if people in my party are buying several bottles of product, why is the fee not waived? I know they are scaling back production to ensure better quality and that they have hit on the head. But when your also owned by a man worth 9 Billion dollars, it is kind of hard to swallow. That being said if Road 13 were to change this to either something more realistic or waive the fee upon purchase above say 20$ (per se), then I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars.

Queen Dianne was the best! Really enjoyed the wines and the great tour. I love the castle as well. Excited to come back

Beautiful facilities. Noted a gradual yet significant change since Mark Anthony acquired in terms of attitude, which is to take itself much more serious - unfortunate but to be expected after an acquisition.Seated tastings only which seems to be the trend, unfortunately. Was looking forward to tasting 2020 John Oliver reds which are supposed to be great (Syrah in particular) but none were on the “experience” we went with. That said, had the beautiful patio overlooking the valley to ourselves and the 2019 GSM is great.

Just had a wonderful time at Road 13, made especially great by attention from our host Mitch. A fabulous tour of the vineyard, the facility, the barrels, and finished off with fabulous tasting and charcuterie board. A highlight of our trip. Mario and Val

Oh boy. Where do I start? Excellent staff who were very knowledgeable and provided a great service. The tasting room is gorgeous with beautiful views. They also have a nice castle they host wine tasting when it gets busier. I heard they might be taking down the castle at some point so it'll be good for those who are interested to visit soon. The best part is really the wine. The red wine offered here were the most delicious ones out of probably a dozen wineries I tried in Osoyoos. Their John Oliver collection is absolutely delicious! Definitely a must visit if you are in town.
