A Perfect Patio Lunch at Wards Wine Country Kitchen
Our visit to Wards Wine Country Kitchen on Saturday, September 20, 2025, for a late lunch was an absolute delight. We were so fortunate to be served by Assistant Manager Aly, whose service was truly exceptional. Her knowledge and passion for the menu were evident, and her recommendation of the Gneiss Rosé was a superb choice that perfectly complemented our meal.
We shared a selection of fresh and flavorful dishes. The Baked Brie was wonderfully warm and gooey, a comforting start to our lunch. The Kimchi Olives were a surprising and bold twist, offering a unique burst of flavor that was both savory and tangy. The Korean Hot Wings were a highlight—crispy and succulent with a delicious, spicy-sweet glaze that left us wanting more.
Dining on the patio, we were immersed in the vibrant and charming atmosphere of The District Wine Village. The beautiful setting, combined with the outstanding food and Aly's impeccable service, made for a truly memorable afternoon. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We were here on an extremely hot day in July and the servers worked their butts off! the food was delicious 💖 The white sangria needs peaches or something in it though 👌

I guess breakfast is not a popular thing in these parts of Canada, since we could not find a restaurant service breakfast in a radius is 20 miles. So we decided to drive to the nearby wine country, for some 🍷 tasting. But out of nearly a dozen of wineries only 2 were open. But we found a small chic restaurant for lunch. The service was good and the pretty owner (I assume) was very friendly. We ordered the spicy tuna Tatar with a home made wonton cracker and our hosts John and and his brother Neil shared a chicken flat bread. Both dishes were nicely presented and tasted delicious.
The only disappointment was the wonton cracker that was so flake that it fell apart and we ended up using a fork to eat the freshly prepared, yummy tuna Tatar

Loved our experience here. Service was fast. CASS was awesome! Summer soda was sooo good! Prawn cocktail was nothing I've had before! Delicious 😋 homemade veggie burger and the flat bread was great.

Looking for a locally-sourced industry-focused foodie heaven in the Okanagan? Come see Wards Wine Country Kitchen at the District Wine Village! Lovely couple Mindy and Scott Ward bring decades of hospitality experience to this new passion project of bringing people together over exceptional wine, craft beverages and delicious expressive menus. At the helm is one of my favourite chefs in BC, Chef Ian Stillborn (Camosun College, Vista 18, Liquidity Wines, See Ya Later Ranch, Nk’Mip Cellars and Miradoro) who brings his energetic and creative personality to this casual chic approach. I had the pleasure of seeing him elevate Nk'Mip Cellars patio to BEST rated in Osoyoos! Wine country, leisure sips and enjoying the bounty of the valley- his menu is a satisfying highlight to a “MUST VISIT” in wine country! Cozy and well appointed this foodie gem offers sun for the baskers, enclosed patio dining for those admiring the moment and Al fresco in the middle of it all! Thank you Mindy for the lovely warm hearted service and Chef for the absolute wonderful foodie delights! Can’t wait to come back! 🏆❤️🥂🍷🍁🍔🍕

This year's menu is my favorite yet. So far I've tried the prawn salad, the pesto flatbread and the fried chicken bowl. They're all excellent. I love the quiet music, the numerous shady places to sit... And the wine

The atmosphere was great and our server was great. The food on the other hand was not great. I ordered a Brie that was cold and came with only 6 little pieces of bread . So I ordered more bread and they charged me for them even tho we said the Brie was cold. (Mind you they replaced the Brie)

The friendliest staff, quick service, and delish food. We so enjoyed our break there during our visit. The staff also were happy to pet our dogs and brought them water. It is such a perfect addition to the village.
Great time there, had an awesome server and good lunch.

Enjoyed a nice dinner, glad we could bring our dog. Food was a little over priced for portion size but the staff were awesome bringing our dog a treat and our toddler a free bowl of rainbow ice cream!
