I had veggie samosas and butter chicken and a mango lassy. all excellent. spices just right. waitress steered me in the right direction with the spice level. the nan bread was superb everyting was piping hot and plentiful food.

I had lunch and dinner at The Flame in Ossoyus BC. The food was warm and the service was warmer. Be it the muttar paneer, butter chicken, mixed vegetables, tava roti or tandoori roti.. everything was wonderful. I strongly recommend this restaurant. So check it out!!
Horrible food. Ordered four dishes. They used same gravy for all dishes. Uncooked and very spicy. Sorry don’t recommend and never going here ever again
Camping in Osoyoos and my wife and I wanted to try out this restaurant. We were definitely impressed! We started off with chicken samosas, very tasty, lots of chicken and the tamarind sauce is just the best!!! I then had the chicken tikka masala for my main, spice level 3.5 and my wife had butter chicken, spice level 2 mild. The dishes were accompanied by rice and Naan bread. Delicious taste and quality of the food presented to us! Portions were good size. I sampled my wife's butter chicken and what is such a "staple" dish, I found it to be the best I have tasted in quite a while. My chicken tikka masala had 3 huge pieces of chicken, very tender and a great surprise as to the quantity of chicken. Throughout our whole experience, our waitress Jot was so very good!! The numerous questions we asked her about the various dishes available were answered with knowledge and patience, explaining not only the dishes but how they are prepared and cooked, including describing the different spices used. Jot really made our dinner very special for sure! 5 plus stars for her!! The owner stopped by our table just prior to our leaving and she too was very kind. We had a little chat to let her know how impressed we were with the food and especially our waitress, Jot. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for atmosphere, even though the atmosphere itself was great, was the walls in dining area were very bare. A few paintings, such as the ones in the lobby, would enhance the overall atmosphere I felt. But I would not hold this against them. Highly recommend you try this restaurant!!

We had the medium spice Fish Tikka with mint chutney, caramelize onions and peppers. It's was very tender fish, melt in your mouth bites of delicious goodness to satisfy your quest for a hot plate spicy meal paired well with garlic naan. For spicier choices then definitely get the sweet mango lassi drink that I enjoyed to tame things done if your palate is not on the hot side. We also had the medium spice Chicken Tikka hot plate which was also delicious especially when dipped in the accompanying creamy mint chutney. Excellent meal overall, I highly recommend this place in Osoyoos especially if your wanting to expand your pallet beyond traditional Canadian cuisine. Bring a friend or two because the portion are generous. Welcoming service with a pleasant smile and helpful suggestions. Best fish I've had in a while!!!

Definitely an indian place made for people who are not indian - which is fine - but if you want good food trust the lower end of the reviews. We were a bit worried from what we read online but were craving indian so ordered super basic dishes that you can't really mess up, and everything was bland. Please change your recipes! I feel a bit bad for locals who may not have any other options for indian food and think this is the good stuff. It's not. Server was nice, and the mango lassi was good. But food was terrible.
