Who eats here? Absolutely not good and thank God our friends paid for dinner. Vietnamese spring rolls dry as dust. They should be a little moist and greasy. Beef Salad roll was gross, dry, old lettuce. Nothing good about it. The peanut sauce is hoisin only. Chicken Chow Mein was so bland and wet 🤢 this was our second visit. We decided to give them another chance out of desperation because there's nothing to eat around here. Never again.

First visit to this awesome place. Great service, great food and amazing value. Don’t let the modest exterior fool you. The quality is enormous. Well done!

Spicy Shrimp Hot Pot & Lemongrass Chicken with Steamed Rice

​We were so lucky to find this gem in Parksville! As someone with an Asian background, it was a delight to find truly authentic, homemade style cuisine in Canada. The food was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and so tasty.
​Our server was very friendly and took the time to explain each dish. The sauces and dipping oils were perfectly balanced. My husband and I weren't even that hungry when we arrived, but we ended up finishing every bite! It was a fantastic experience and the perfect birthday treat. I highly recommend Mekong River Restaurant.

AMAZING Vietnamese food!!

The food was FANTASTIC: the spring rolls, fresh beef rolls, curry, ginger chicken and hot pot were exceptional.

Wonton soup was good. Chubby pork and shrimp wontons. Broccoli was not fresh. Broth ok.
Beef salad roll is good but one for $14 is not good value.
Vietnamese spring roll made with rice paper $12 was good but overall the value for money is not there.

Service was friendly. Hours are very limited.

Could not be better! We've been coming to Parksvilke every Summer for the last five years, and we always make sure to go to Mekong at least twice during our vacation. The food is out of this world, and the service is always friendly and fast. If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, you're in for a REAL treat!!!!

I have been eating here regularly for two years and every dish I try I love! I am also celiacs and it is hard to find places to eat here in town but this place is great! So many options!
