Always great service. Super friendly. Generous with toppings.
The Most Joyless Sandwich in Parkville
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to order a sandwich in a Soviet breadline but with more options for cheese, look no further than the Subway in Parkville.
The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with… nothing. No “hello,” no smile, just a silent, unspoken agreement that your only purpose in life is to tell them what meat you want, in the exact number of seconds they’ve allotted you, or risk the Wrath of the Subway Staff.
It’s honestly impressive how synchronized their stone-faced stares are. One person slices bread like it personally wronged them, another slams the lettuce on your sub as if they’re punishing it for existing. Nobody says a word unless absolutely necessary, and when they do, it’s delivered in a tone that suggests they’re counting the days until they’re free from this deli dungeon.
I tried smiling to break the tension, but they looked at me like I’d just threatened to rob the place.
If you like your sandwiches with a side of existential despair, Parkville Subway is the destination. Just don’t expect any joy, eye contact, or human warmth. 5/10 for efficiency, 0/10 for vibes.
very bad experience the worst subway i’ve ever visited. presented food in very bad way and did’nt get food as worth i paid.
Great subs, even greater staff and a exceptional customer service.
Great spot!
We just picked up our subs for lunch. I very specifically asked the person to mark the veg and non veg subs and give them to us seperately. He in full confidence marked the subs wrong. My poor MIL who is religiously vegetarian unfortunately ended up eating the chicken sub. It is just so sad and disappointing. I think they should be super careful regarding food preferences.
For being the only subway currently in town I would just suggest to train to ur staff to move quicker….. feel like I’m watching a sloth make my sandwich it literally took 20 minutes to get from the end of the line to pay for my sandwich and there was 4 staff behind the counter…. EVERY SINGLE ONE IS MOVING SO SLOW!? It’s a fast food place like people don’t have time for this!!!! Insane.
the service here is incredibly kind and helpful they go above and beyond for there customers doordash so stupidly messed up the order and subway worker amol went out of her way to meet my needs and help with the situation i’m very grateful for this kind interaction i had with the worker! lovely place

Would leave no stars, but a review won't post that way. My wife was in, and having a sandwich prepped, and noticed the lettuce was all rotten and brown/black. She politely asked if there was any other lettuce, to which the lady preparing the sandwich responded "this is how we like it in India, so we are happy". Great customer service, even if you prefer rancid vegetables, unlikely, have some class and pretend to care about your customers/business. Won't be returning

Not as high quality as it used to be. Minor things. Righting order number in small bick blue pen...couldn't read. And the knives clearly need sharpening. The subs are rarely cut right thru.

Vegetables were all frozen/brown in the case. When I pointed it out the employee (maybe owner?), he held up the most translucent just-thawed tomato and told me I was wrong. You could see the frost on the vegetables and the containers.
When I said we should go somewhere else to my family the same employee was put-off by us leaving. C’mon.
Awful ingredients and poor judgement by the staff thinking they can save money by giving customers unsafe/gross product.

now I know why parksville subway will forever be inferior to orther subways. they won't let you add meat to sandwiches....I have done this in vancouver many of times and this was the first....
Terrible customer service. They close at 10pm I walked in there to get a sandwich at around 8pm, there were 2 mean cleaning, one moping the floor the other spraying something where the bread goes. The greeting was not welcoming at all and I waited for several minutes before my sandwich was started and I was the only customer. The person seemed very unskilled at his job and I had to repeat myself several times about what I wanted, simple things like the bread and it being toasted. The veggies also seemed in bad condition, they were NOT fresh and I could see they were frozen. I couldnt even get lettuce because it was brown and other veggies looked gross. Instead of them cleaning the floors 2 hours before they close why not check if the food is prepared properly? The dressing is bad and leaves a smell which is hard to get rid of and after eating it I didnt feel that good. I am not going back to this store it was a bad experience.

Absolutely horrible service which really sucks considering I've been a customer of this location for over 20 years. Rude lady rather put cheese on bread then help customers. Plus horrible frozen veggies which she argued was not a freezing issue but a supply issue..... so why is it frozen then. NEVER EVER

This subway consistently disappoints our family. The chewiest bread I've ever eaten from a subway and I didn't dare choose lettuce or tomato because they both looked terrible.
Service was timely but the food quality was awful.
