The food here is always amazing and the prices are really good too! We got takeout on our way back from mt. Washington and I’m so glad we did! We called before they were open at 4 and they had our food ready as soon as we arrived. Always delicious, well prepared and fresh!

You get what you pay for… Cheap sushi but it fills you up. Definitely cutting corners on the ingredients in dishes. 3 stars because the service was good and they accommodated us as a large group on a Saturday night!

It's a shame. This place used to be known for its awesome sushi and good overall value. I had heard thru several people in the community that it had gone down hill, but we tried it for ourselves tonight...and they were right. They have cheaped out and cut corners and it shows. I even called first to communicate our disappointment, and the staff could care less, this warrants a negative review for all to see. We won't be returning and won't be recommending. 2 stars because the spicy miso was good. Otherwise it was an epic fail.
Arrived 25 min before they closed. They told us they have already closed. People were still in the restaurant. My family and I were so hungry too. So sad too bad.

Was hoping to love it. Maybe I'm spoiled being from Vancouver. We had some rolls, tempura, and chicken karaage. The chicken karate was probably the worst we have ever had and we eat ALOT of Japanese food. The tempura batter was more like fish and chip batter rather than authentic Japanese tempura batter. The rolls were pretty sloppy and it was kind of a mess because they stuffed it all into too small of a container for take out. To sum it up, it tasted and looked like grocery store sushi. Front counter staff were super kind and friendly! Perhaps they have new staff or something but I rate Sushi One (Ichi) a three stars to be kind. Having said that it may be the best for Parksville
